Waters breaking pre-labour; experiences?

I'm 41+3 with my second. I did not go overdue with my first so this is new and frankly appalling territory 🙈

If your waters went before you went into labour did you have a lot of downward pressure beforehand? Did you have an inkling it was going to happen?

With DD I remember the intense pressure and they went in the middle of a contraction. But, I'd been going for ages by that point so it wasn't a surprise. This time I've been having teasing contractions for TWO WEEKS 😫 and today occasional sharp pain in my cervix on walking in my cervix and stronger downward pressure. Wondering if it's a sign my waters might go tonight and we can finally get this show on the road 🤞

He's here and pretty darn perfect 🥰

Waters ended up going while in labour after epidural had gone in and just as midwife was sitting on the bed to do an examination. She got a little damp 😳🤣
