Ok they've always been broken before me at the end of labour they have just gushed when I was in bed and more now i'm out of bed. Luckily I put one of those mat pads on bed as I had a feeling. No pains as yet just feel rather taken aback and shakey! Waters are clear i'm having a homebirth do I ring mw or do I just wait until I get pain. Think i'm a bit in shock. I can't stop shaking!

you sound really calm

kindersurprise · 03/01/2008 08:13

Good luck!

MarsLady · 03/01/2008 08:16

Ledodgy.... if nothing/nothing much has happened...GET SOME REST! Allow your body the energy to give birth. Also, toilet every 2 hours at a minimum. Eat and drink.

Now... unless you're birthing BED YOUNG LADY!

Will check back after the school run.... that's right blardy school is back... yawn!

Kimi · 03/01/2008 08:16

Oh I have to go out now, but I will check back later to see if there is a new addition to the Ledodgy household, Good luck and lots of love.

What a lovely way to start a new year

Sparkler · 03/01/2008 09:30

Ledodgy - How exciting. How's it going? Thinking of you and looking forward to hearing the good news real soon. xx

Sparkler · 03/01/2008 09:31

.........and breathe (that was for the other mumsnetters cos if they are anything like me I'm on the edge of my seat!)

FoghornLeghorn · 03/01/2008 09:35

Oh ledodgy - how exciting !!

My waters broke hours before I had any contractions with both my DD's - very strange knowing it's all going to happening very soon but to be in no pain whatsoever.

WigWamBam · 03/01/2008 09:39

How's it going, Ledodgy? Will be thinking about you and waiting for your announcement!

TigerFeet · 03/01/2008 09:47

good luck Ledodgy

hopefully you are labouring hard as we lurk and wait

I never knew when my waters broke with dd - they had already broken when I had my first internal exam and I had no idea when

franke · 03/01/2008 09:59

Just wanted to say, in case you come back to the thread, the 24 hour thing should be negotiable, particularly as you are minimising the risk of infection - some hospitals have a protocol of 72 or even 96 hours. Even if you're not moving around (do try to conserve your energy) try to keep upright in some way.

Hope you won't be coming back any time too soon Good luck!

PeckaRolloverAgain · 03/01/2008 10:21

So happy and excited for you with a touch of thrown in. xxx

arfishy · 03/01/2008 10:41

Good Lord! I didn't think I'd have to go to bed (Southern Hemisphere) before the exciting news. I'm going to miss it all [wail].

If I don't get back, then here's for a happy, healthy birth. So exciting!!

ABudafulSightWereHappyTonight · 03/01/2008 10:45

How exciting!!!!

bamamama · 03/01/2008 10:50

arfishy - you still on MN? Got your hoovering done? I haven't been on here on and off nearly all day - no siree.

ledodgy - hope all is well, very exciting.

TheDuchessOfNorksBride · 03/01/2008 11:00

Led - are you birthing or nursing or sound asleep (the last unlikely methinks).

I hope you're not ignoring us.

arfishy · 03/01/2008 11:09

No hoovering but did tackle the leaning ironing pile of Pisa.

See ledodgy - it's much better being in labour. None of this housework malarkey.

Hope all is going well. Will catch up with you in the morning Oz time.
