Induction tomorrow, nervous!!

Hey all, I am due to be induced tomorrow with my first baby and the nerves are starting to really kick in! I think I'm most worried about if/how long DP is going to be able to be with me?! I'm really fretting about having to do it on my own. Has anyone else had an experience of an induction recently with the covid situation?

Any words of encouragement would be greatly appreciated haha!

Oh I hope all went well for you @PL2021. I'm 41+1 and am booked for an induction tomorrow. I'm a little bit nervous but it helps reading the positive stories here. This is my second baby (first was early and labour started naturally). I'm hoping it won't take too long but who knows.

Hey ladies! So sorry its taken me such a while to update you all. Our little girl arrived on the 28th weighing 7.7lbs. She is just perfect Flowers

I've had a pretty rough time having to spend 4 nights in hospital after a forceps delivery and getting an infection, so I've been pretty fed up and extremely tired as I could not sleep in there at all. Having a reaction to my antibiotics when I got home really didn't help haha! But I am now slowly on the mend!

I'm absolutely loving being a mummy! We are having some trouble in the evenings at the moment with her becoming very unsettled, almost like she wants constant feeds, but then ends up throwing some back up Sad so we don't just want to feed to pacify if this isn't the reason she is actually so unsettled.

If anyone has any advice on this I would greatly appreciate it as this mumma really needs some sleep Grin

Congratulations 🎉

I'm going on in Thursday for my induction at 39 weeks. Absolutely bricking it now 😩

Have you tried a dummy? She must be over feeding for comfort 💕

Bennetgirl · 02/11/2021 21:13

@margerina How did you get on? X

Cyanchicken · 02/11/2021 21:17

Congratulations on your baby daughter!! Cluster feeding in the evenings is very normal and there's lots of good biological reasons for it. If you google it or look at some of the threads here on infant feeding there'll be loads of great advice!

Solution for evening cluster feeding? http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/breastanddbottlefeeding/723169-Solution-for-evening-cluster-feeding

Thank you ladies!

We have just tried a dummy for the first time tonight which did seem to help settle her a little more! I will also have a read regarding the cluster feeding! Xx

Congratulations @PL2021 !!
I ended up with a forceps delivery too. It was pretty brutal because my epidural stopped working so I ended up in theatre with a spinal block. However it was all worth it as my little baby boy was born on 27/10 and is absolutely perfect Smile loving every minute of him!! Hope your recovery is going well and you're managing to get some rest!! Thanks

Congratulations @MamaMolly, our little perfect bundles born just one day apart Star

I'm slowly but surely on the mend! I hope you are too!! Flowers
