Elective section - How long in hospital?

I am booked for an elective section on Wed am.I had an elective section 4 years ago as daughter was in awkward position and recovered v quickly but had to stay in 5 days.

I was really hoping for vbac this time as I gave birth naturally to a stillborn dd 2.5 years ago and wanted so much to deliver living baby. But on examination today was only 1cm and posterior so said induction out (am overdue now and they want baby out asap because of stillbirth risks and so do i)

Was hoping that i would not have to stay in 5 days.Anyone had one and stayed in less?
thanks x

Hi

I had section at 11am wed and was discharged Sat at 4pm

I was in more pain than last time as it took 9 attempts to get epidural in and baby was stuck so they used forceps but was on feet at 8am following day and in shower.

Mind you being at home is a pain as people seem to think your ok once home when in fact im knackered and want to rest!
