What week did your labour start spontaneously?

37 weeks today and as I am technically considered “full term”, I am starting to wonder when things will start... I know most women go into labour at 40+ weeks but was curious to know what your experience was with spontaneous labour.

1st...nearly 42 weeks after trying everything to avoid induction..
2nd... 38 weeks

Also almost 42. Was booked for a 42 week induction on the Tuesday, labour started Sunday night and baby arrived on Monday.

My 1st and only at the minute, 38 weeks and born early hours of 38 +1

DS1- didn't, was induced at 42 weeks
DS2- spontaneous labour at 41+3
DS3- spontaneous labour at 40+4

Oh, and fwiw, all the women in my maternal family go 'over' unless induced before the EDD. Among all my aunties and cousins, none of us have experiences spontaneous labour before 40 weeks and my third child was seen as quite 'early' for only being 4 days past the EDD!

First 38 and second 39+2. I was so sure I'd go over and need inducing, I was pleasantly surprised!

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow with baby number 2!

With my first I went into spontaneous labour at 39+3 Smile

Ds1 came on his due date.

First 38+3 and gave birth the next day
Second 38+1 born 4 hours later

Currently pregnant with 3rd and waiting as I'm past full term now

Not.

Was induced at 42+2 and really regret it but didn't feel I had any choice but to do what they said.

Induced with my first at 40+5 (born 41)
40+3 with my second (first twinge at 2.30pm she was born at 5.30pm)
