Hi all, I'm almost 10 weeks with DC2. My labour with DD was very traumatic, 48 hour labour, epidural fail, midwives telling me I was going to ECS if I didn't make another cm on the next hour, repeat repeat.
In the end she came, but I retained some womb lining, they had to pull the emergency alarm thing as I started bleeding out. I ended up having it manually removed with no painkillers in the bed, and I had a blood transfusion and IV antibiotics. They wouldn't let me go home for days and I ended up with massive post natal depression. Phew!
So I want to avoid PND if at all possible with this DC as I have my 2 year old DD to look after now too.
I'm wondering if an ECS would be better for me to try and save my sanity? Has anyone had a VB and CS? What was the recovery like? This will 100% be my last DC and my DD will be 3 and have started nursery by due date (February) so I'll have some respite during the day .
