I am 38+6 weeks pregnant and I think baby is on her way!

Yesterday I was vomiting and constantly emptying my bowels.
Today I have felt a lot of pressure in my vagina and I felt like I had a water balloon between my legs to the point I didn't want to stand up because I thought they would break.

This is my second child. With my first I didn't know I was in labour until 1:30am, pain got worse by 3:30am baby born at home at 4:20am.... waters did not break.

I am convinced I am going to get up for a wee and I'm going to break my waters.

Is this wishful thinking? Please tell me about just before you went into labour

Thankyou

Sounds like your body is getting ready, that’s got to be a good sign :)

OntheWaves40 · 22/06/2020 23:43

Sounds like this might be it!

3rd sweep done this morning. Still nothing induction booked for tomorrow. I really really don't want an induction. Anyone else had one after 3 sweeps at 40 weeks?

Yes me. Baby came 5 days after 3rd sweep. It's so frustrating isnt it. Have you got a ball you can get jumping on? X

Lindor2828 · 23/06/2020 14:03

I had an induction two weeks ago, I was 41 weeks and had had three sweeps! Second pregnancy, he was not budging!

Even with the induction he took ages to come and I needed the maximum syntocinon drip! But he's here now and all is wellSmile

Induction wasn't what I wanted either, but I'm glad I agreed to it because I genuinely don't think he would have arrived by himself and I couldn't face pregnancy for another day!

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 23/06/2020 14:09

You don't have to have an induction if you don't want one! 40 weeks is really not late at all.
