I am 38+6 weeks pregnant and I think baby is on her way!

Yesterday I was vomiting and constantly emptying my bowels.
Today I have felt a lot of pressure in my vagina and I felt like I had a water balloon between my legs to the point I didn't want to stand up because I thought they would break.

This is my second child. With my first I didn't know I was in labour until 1:30am, pain got worse by 3:30am baby born at home at 4:20am.... waters did not break.

I am convinced I am going to get up for a wee and I'm going to break my waters.

Is this wishful thinking? Please tell me about just before you went into labour

Thankyou

How exciting for you. Good luck. Sending you lots of positive energy 🙏🏽
I woke up and felt wet, as if I'd peed the bed. Stood up and it whoosh down. I was 37weeks.

ButterfliesandMoths · 10/06/2020 22:35

Sounds like it could be happening soon.
My first happened by waters trickling on & off for about an hour then contractions started about an hour later & with my second my waters gushed while I was on the phone totally unexpected, contractions started within 15 minutes.

Oh no OP! Sorry you're disappointed, your baby is being a tease! Grin
I'm sure something will happen soon, with all of your symptoms, was your first early/late/on schedule?

bearlyactive · 11/06/2020 09:16

Hope things start moving soon OP!

crazybutkind · 11/06/2020 09:40

First was 2 days early. I don't feel the pressure as much this morning I imagine by the end of the day I will feel heavy again.

dancingonmycervix · 15/06/2020 15:21

How are you getting on op? I'm only 36 weeks but feel exactly the same. If I walk around I start contracting. The pressure is horrendous.

crazybutkind · 15/06/2020 15:25

Well still no baby and absolutely nothing happening. Not lost my plug and the pressure doesn't seem as bad. Had a scan today all fine no sign of labour though x

ButterfliesandMoths · 20/06/2020 20:27

crazybutkind · 21/06/2020 20:59

FrugiFan · 21/06/2020 21:03

OP I know how you feel! My first baby was 2 weeks early - fast labour like you. So with the second I was expecting them at 38 weeks as well so I I already felt overdue by 38+1!
She kept me waiting another 2 weeks and 4 days. I hope you get to meet your baby soon :)

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 21/06/2020 21:05

Awe, I remember the feeling well, I hope things get moving for you soon, I ended up 10 days over, a very long walk finally worked for me!

crazybutkind · 22/06/2020 19:40

Well I thought today was it. I started getting waves of pain every ten minutes that got strong enough to stop me in my tracks. Phoned birth suite was told to wait it out. Had a really loose bowel movement then all the pains stopped

ButterfliesandMoths · 22/06/2020 23:34

Could be really early signs. Let's hope you're not waiting too much longer.
