both labours really traumatic and long 1st ended in an emergency section which i had a GA i even missed his 1st breastfeed as still unconscious. the 2nd again long labour which resulted in me losing a load of blood and passing out as they dragged him out with forceps. i really want my next to be more positive and at least b conscious. Also with my first doc told us after, that ds1 nearly died, he all ok now, and the 2nd was abit touch and go with me losing so much blood, part of me thinks maybe i should realize that perhaps me and labour dont work and im lucky that even though the labours were eventful we are all well and not risk a future preg but I so want another baby. Anyone have a exp of 3rd good labour after 2 awful ones?

actually orangehead, my SIL who had her ds naturally laughs at me for feeling that I have "missed out" by having 3 CS's. For her the whole thing was very painful from start to finish and she can't imagine what I think I'm missing out on!

orangehead, ds1 was an emergency section and I too had flashbacks and nightmares afterwards. Did lots of therapy (bta is great, btw) and decided to go with a planned section for ds2. He wound up coming early so it wasn't actually the "scheduled" section I had been planning for, but it was very calm and really nice. I called my OB when my water broke, we drove straight to the hospital. They were waiting for us and started prepping me immediately. Less than 3 hours later ds2 was born. Such a different and really great experience.

If your were to have another baby you would need to be seen by consultant. I have seen mine regular this pregnancy due to pregnancy and birth problems with DD (E Csection too). He has been helpful in discussing all previous problems and even had my DD old notes to check everything.

You could discuss with him/her what the risks are and and his suggestions.

Hope this helps

Lisa
