I've been having contractions since Wednesday, and booked in for induction since Sunday for today.
Started having contractions in back as well as pelvis yesterday.
Had the pessary at 11:15 and lost plug at 13:30ish.
Front and back contractions getting more regular and more pressure at the bottom.
Fingers crossed for it to be happening soon 🤞

Had the secondary pessary - things are moving again. Just gotta get head "stuck" as she keeps bobbing still 😒

Second pregnancy fingers crossed first baby and I'm 39 weeks and 1 day! How about you @Squeakybubbles26 ? Forgot to say - I hope everything was okay yesterday!

Sorry about your first pregnancy. Was that early stages? (If you don't want to talk about it that's fair enough)! I'm 36+4 but being induced at 37+1 as have ICP. Yesterday was fine thanks for asking but if mis communication between hospitals and very worried parents wondering why were actually over there! How's it going now? Any more progress?xx

aewwwenxt · 06/07/2019 13:59

I was 14+ weeks but the baby had stopped growing at 5 weeks - I found out I was pregnant late so found out at the "12 week" scan that the pregnancy wasn't going to continue.
No more progress so far apart from more painful contractions in both front and back and lots of pressure down below. Currently in the bath to try and ease it but not doing anything ☹️
Glad everything went okay! It would appear the nhs has a real miscommunication problem because we've had issues with not everyone being told something and others assuming I know things I don't!

That must of been very hard for you both. Did they do extra scans and keep an eye this time round? I've got a DD whose nearly 3 and I remember those painful contractions at the start in and out of the bath trying to sooth them but nothing worked until I got the good stuff .. well gas and air.
Inductions seem a slow process :( is it busy in the hospital?x

aewwwenxt · 06/07/2019 14:11

Nope morning extra until diagnosed with preeclampsia and then extra fluid. Starting to struggle with the contractions to be honest, I can deal with them when they're just in the front but on the back too is horrendous!
Thankfully the ward doesn't seem too busy today - although the woman next door was screaming for ages, they gave her an epidural in the end to get her to be quiet I think

Nothing not morning!

Cor, i thought they would of kept an extra eye on you. Hopefully the contractions mean your dilating and before long you'll be on the good stuff! Think I had 5 hours of those pains (it goes quick) but they are very uncomfortable! I did literally LOL when you said about the women next door! I'll never forget some good advice don't waste your energy on screaming! I bet the midwives hear it all!

aewwwenxt · 06/07/2019 17:53

Been checked over - I'm exactly the same as I was before the induction process started! Just in more pain!
Tried a tens machine and that just made me angry so not going for that again! Had paracetamol and trying to hold off on anything else just yet.
Going to be re-examined at 10:30pm and if this third tablet hasn't worked we've gotta look at other options really because I'm in too much pain to carry on like this for another 24 hours.

Oh no! Good luck OP, I hope things speed up for you.

MrsGrannyWeatherwax · 06/07/2019 18:09

Hoping it speeds up for you!

Mine happened quickly when it started but the waiting was boring / painful.

Strugglingonagain · 06/07/2019 18:26

Oh no OP. Hope things get going better soon and you'll be enjoying newborn snuggles! Xx

aewwwenxt · 06/07/2019 18:30

Thank you everyone! Definitely hoping things get going soon but it's easy to lose faith when it'll have been 36 hours since the induction started before I know anything more

Depending on your trust and why they’ve induced you they may offer the drip next.

Mine managed to break waters at 1cm, less than 30 mins later I went into active labour and baby arrived 3 hours later. Hoping positive thoughts help speed it up!

I tried to keep active too, the bouncing ball was my friend

NotSoThinLizzy · 06/07/2019 20:43

At least you know something will be happening soon

Seahorseshoe · 07/07/2019 02:36

Ahhh op! It's beyond frustrating when you've been having contractions for ages but there's no change. I feel your pain (not literally now, but 20+ years ago I did).

MrsMozartMkII · 07/07/2019 03:14

Fingers crossed there's a baby here soon OP!

aewwwenxt · 07/07/2019 12:17

Baby was born at 9:55!! Was given gas and air last night for contractions as they were too close together and too painful. But they took that off me this morning when they saw I was ready to push.
I had a couple tears and lost 2.2litres of blood but all fine now.
She was born with the cord round the neck and not crying but soon started once I started rubbing her back.
I'm so so in love and I can't believe I gave birth two and a half hours ago!
