Early labour or wishful thinking?

I'm 37+6 and for the last two hours or so have been having horrid period like cramps every 15 / 20 mins ish. At first I thought they were diarrhoea cramps coming on but I've tried and can't go (as in I just don't need to, not that I'm constipated - I've had 6/7 trips to the toilet today and the same yesterday!!)

When I'm not having these cramps I feel extremely sick but again can't be sick, and I keep having what I can only describe as hot flashes but up my back. Really weird. Baby has been moving loads all day. I've been exhausted all day and had a 5 hour nap at 10am after getting up at 8am which is really not like me at all.

First pregnancy was twins and I was induced early and had them at 36+6 but never really experienced the early labour side of things. The induction took days and then all kicked off and was very intense very quickly.

Could this be the start or am I just wishfully thinking as I've been getting a bit miserable and uncomfortable the last few days?

No plan as of yet, I'm 38+1 right now so my impatience is a little unjustified even if I do feel like the most pregnant person that ever lived! I've had two natural pool births before so I'm really keen to do the same this time round. At least with your Cs booked you know a definite end date! That's a positive

I'm 38+3 so the extra two days I have on you definitely justify being super impatient GrinWink

Were your previous 2 babies early? Mine were 36 weekers so I think once I got to that point I started feeling hard done by Blush

1st was 41+0, 2nd was 39+0 so was really hoping for a nice neat numerical 38+0 this time, no such luck! I have had consistent dreams of him being born on the 21st though which will totally freak me out if it happens

Not a thing!! Frustrating

TrixieFranklin · 21/06/2019 15:58

Walked a few miles this morning but all that's done is made me super tired. The kids are going to their grandparents for a sleepover tomorrow and we're hoping to have a little date night so I'll be ordering extra hot curries from the Indian and I've bought pineapple for pudding 🤞🏻

I've ate a whole pineapple, had a madras, Chinese curry, evening primrose oil orally and internally, bathed and moisturised in clary sage oil. Only thing I've got is major backache! I have HG too so fed up being sick!!!
