When was your DC1 born?

35 weeks today and having a ponder...

If your DM/DGM gave birth before EDD, did you?
Or if they went over, did you?

I know the general understanding is that first babies are nearly always late, but my DM never went over with any of us (I'm hoping this may bode well for me, and that I won't have another 5+ weeks of this Grin)

With me (her 1st) she went 9 days over, with dc1 I went 1 day over. Never heard of it being hereditary tbh! Dc2 however was 9 later over, breaking the rules before their arrival...

Apparently I was a week early, my little one was eight days late!
My mum has had five children and I'm sure only the last one was late - even then only by a few days or so.

I made my grand entrance at 36 weeks, and my sister came at 38 weeks... No idea if it's hereditary @DownToTheRiver818 just something I've been wondering

Unfortunately not. My mum had me (1st) 5 days early and my brother (2nd) 1 week early. I had DS 13 days late - after being induced. No correlation here I’m afraid.

DD1 arrived a week early. Rather spoiled DH’s, and my, final romantic weekend together before the due date the following week - the waters broke while we were having sex!
DD2 arrived 15 minutes early.

I had two early babies for no obvious reason - 35 weeks and 37 weeks. Mum had both my sister and I around week 38. I think my sister had slightly early babies too.

Mum had dc1 41+6 dc2 (me) technically 39+6 but it was a leap year and apparently they didn't include 29th feb so I was bang on time

My dc1 was 40+6 but 40 if measured from lmp

My waters broke at 41 weeks with meconium in.

Was induced and she was born at 41+1

I was a month early, mainly because my mum was really ill.
My brother was about 2 weeks early.

Dd was 2 weeks late, I had 2 failed sweeps and then had to be induced.

I'm my DMs first. I was 7 days late.
My DD was 17 days late

I was born 4 weeks early and my brother was born 3.5 weeks early.

My first was actually born 1 day before EDD (however did have a 4 day labour so would have been 5 days before if he didn’t take his time)

My second I was 4 days overdue.

My DCs dad and his siblings were all born between 3 days early and a week late.

DM went over by 3 weeks with my DB (her first baby) and I went into labour on my due date with my first (DS was born the following morning).

Dc1 was 10 days late, I believe I was about a week late for my dm.

My dm had 3 dc all arrived before dd.
My 1st was 16 days late, 2nd 6 days late, 3rd was a section at 39 + 5 before labour started and 4th is still cooking.

I was 4 weeks early and arrived 15 minutes after DMs first contraction. Went into labour with DS at 40 weeks exactly and he was born at 40 + 1. Im still obsessed with being on time and am always rushing. DS is so laid back he's horizontal.

i was a day late, my DD arrived 6 days early just as we'd (admittedly risking it) started moving into our new house!

1 week late with first. Then 6 days over with second.. 3rd child arrived 1 day early!

Oh and of course I was 10 days late whereas my brother was bang on time ... show off..

I've had stern words with baby tonight and we've agreed that 37-39 weeks will be acceptable Grin

My mum went 2 weeks over with me and I was delivered via emergency c section. I just had my ds 2 weeks early with no intervention to start me off

My mum had 4 babies. All born with 1-2 days of due date. All girls. Of those

Daughter 1 had: dc1 at 37 weeks, dc2 at 38 weeks, dc3 at 39 weeks (planned section)

Daughter 2 had: dc1 at 42 weeks, dc2 at 39 weeks (planned section)

Daughter 3 had: dc1 at 38+5, dc2 at 37+4, dc3 at 39+1.

No pattern, but only one overdue out of our 12 babies!
