Took 2nd pessary inserted just after 6pm to get things going, contractions started within the hour and came every 1-2 minutes until he arrived.
Got sent down to midwifery suite just after 9pm as it was pretty chaotic in the induction ward 😂. I ended up getting IV as I was extremely dehydrated and our heart rates shot up, we ended up getting moved to the labour suite as it’s more monitored because it wasn’t settling. I was so gutted as I really wanted to experience the birthing pool.
We were waiting for doctor to come in at 12:30 am to check how dilated I was and to break waters to try speed it up but she came in just after 1am and said to leave me as everything settled for us. She left and 10 minutes later my waters burst and and he arrived shot out at 1:34am haha.
He was definitely my hardest labour, I think I expected it to be a breeze as he was my third and the other 2 went quick. Think he wasn’t ready to come being induced early but quite glad as he was 9lbs 2, wonder what size he’d be if he came late like his siblings.
Glad he’s here as he’s slotted in nicely. Such a happy, content little man.
