Anyone have any positive induction stories to stop me going out of my mind?

Absolutely shitting bricks

Good luck ladies - so close now. Hope all goes well.

asongforthelovers · 29/09/2017 09:47

Good luck ladies, some exciting 😁

Pregosaurus · 29/09/2017 10:04

My induction with DC1 was a dream. Had some contractions before they put the drip in (waters had broken), but no pain. Had an epidural before the drip, spent a happy night sleeping peacefully, woke up in the morning and had a baby!

Good luck!

BellMcEnd · 29/09/2017 10:08

Good luck!

Oh! It was really horrible for me. I was listened too much negative stories that I went for c-section. My sister had her baby by vaginal birth. She was about for 12 hours in labour but couldn't induced. It was her 37 week. After two days, she again felt labour pain. She rushed to hospital. About after 4-7 hours, she gave birth to baby. I saw her while in pain. That's why I was afraid in my pregnancy. My doctor was not ready for c-section. Fortunately, I was dilated too less that couldn't gave birth normal. If you take some pain killer, then you can go for vaginal birth. It is not too much difficult.

holdthewine · 30/09/2017 18:44

Lovely news Jitter and thinking of you Greentrees.

DarkLikeVader · 30/09/2017 20:40

Oh Jitter - what a gorgeous squishy baby and a classic name! Hope the birth went ok and you're recovering well x

jitterbug5 · 30/09/2017 21:12

Sorry I haven’t come back and updated yet - were still in hospital due to my waters breaking early and chances of infection, so we’ve been on antibiotics just in case!

Birth was bloody fantastic. Got put on the hormone drip at 9.30am. Epidural at about 11.30am and sailed through the rest of the labor up until the last couple of hours where the epidural ran out! I went from 1cm dilated too 7cm in 4 hours, and then fully dilated! Had to have a slight cut to help get him out but nothing too major. Started pushing at 9.10pm and had him in my arms by 9.30pm!!

Couldn’t have asked for better. Completely in awe over this little person!

I am currently in my bath at home with baby still firmly in my tummy!!! my cervix did nothing and my contractions stopped completely. I asked to go home for my rest instead of having it in hospital. so I'm back tomorrow afternoon where hopefully something will have happened then I'l be on the drip/break my waters but I feel it's going to be a long road!!
bit nice to be home and relax xs

holdthewine · 02/10/2017 10:34

How are you Greentrees?

greentreeseverywhere · 03/10/2017 14:04

I'm ok Holdthewine I still have a baby in my tummy rather then my arms Sad I asked to leave as no thing had happened at all by Sunday. they are going to try again on Thursday so we shall see!!

asongforthelovers · 03/10/2017 14:28

Jeezo @greentreeseverywhere, have they given you anything to be induced or are they waiting on you going yourself?

How you keeping apart from that, is the pain etc ok for you?

KangaMummy · 03/10/2017 16:11

Crumbs @greentreeseverywhere hope it happens soon
