Anyone else overdue?!

40+3 with second baby. First was early so I'm pretty frustrated. Have had sweep and reflexology. Anyone else fancy joining my pity party?!

Uggh, few strong contractions yesterday afternoon whilst out at supermarket, got home and then just BH all evening, nothing since I've got up ☹️ Got another s n s at a 2pm.

Anyone else popped?

Still waiting, 41+4 today - everyday I wake up depressed now, feel a failure because my body isn't doing what it is supposed to. Even considering an induction today, got an appt with a consultant this afternoon and 5th sweep booked for tomorrow lunchtime. Am keeping active, having loads of braxton hicks, every night I think it's happening and everyday I wake up still pregnant. Sorry to depress everyone, anyone else feeling the same/gone this far and it's still happened naturally before 42 weeks?

What has the mw said at your sweeps Betty, are you dilating at all?

Yes thinned to 1cm and dilated 1-2. Loads of braxton hicks when I'm active but they tail off and never get stronger. Can't understand why it isn't happening, ds1 was born at 9 days late, never thought I'd go past that this time! Waiting to see Consultant now - am super grumpy as been waiting an hour already.

No change at sweep since Saturday ☹️ Feeling glum now, didn't feel like she gave it as good a shot as sat as I hardly felt it and no cramps afterwards this time. Mw didn't give me an option for another sweep just Booked me for induction a week tommorrow.

Had a gorgeous baby boy at 41+5 after having waters broken and then drip as labour didn't progress. Quite a tough ride but delighted with my bundle. Keep going everyone the end is in sight xx

Baby worm arrived on Tuesday evening - 8lb 3 :-)

Went in for monitoring as requested in the afternoon - they could see all good with baby and regular contractions but didn't examine as they knew I wanted a home birth. Ended up getting the midwife out straightaway when we got home and as soon as she examined was on phone to get another one out to us.

Notes say active labour started when she examined me at 6.30 and I was 5 cm. Was born at 8.35pm so the quick labour and that she came out in one go is probably what contributed to a rather huge tear. Ambulance into hospital to sort out some stitches but as I was a home birth I went straight home in the early hours.

Yesterday was a lovely blur of immediate family. Today tired and achey and taking it easy - more of this needed now for next few days as am very sore and my bits are ruined but there is a lovely little girl to make up for that...

Feeling terrible this morning, although after seeing the chiropractor Monday I've had some good sleeps only getting up 1/2 in the night to pee, last night was horrendous, literally on the hour every hour so I feel like a zombie this morning with backache to boot. Plan to do the school run and come home and sleep although not sure what my chances are as neighbours are having new kitchen installed so banging/drilling from 8am will have to hunt out my earplugs.
After having show all week yesterday had a bloody show but it seems conflicting on the web whether that's a sign it's near or not, fed up of symptom spotting now!
Any change with you Betty?

Ahh, frustrating day here, contractions every 20mins started 7am this morning, waned over lunchtime, back by 5pm at 10min intervals but now at midnight are varying between 8-15mins. Going to try and get some sleep!

Thankfully my wait is over, baby was born naturally at 40+13, quick 4 hour labour, water birth and baby was back to back. Hope everyone else doesn't have to wait much longer.

Can I join?? Due tomorrow. DD born at 38+1 so feeling overdue already!!! I've been losing my plug for about 4 days and I've had loose bowels (sorry tmi). Keep thinking things have started for them to tail off after an hour or so. I've tried sex and lots of bouncing on the birth ball, went for a bit of a walk today too. So fed up. Not sleeping, not eating properly. I've got midwife tomorrow they said they won't sweep until 41 weeks! Arrrrgh!!!!

Well after a long day Friday contractions stopped at 1am, they then came back sat lunchtime 4mins apart, we went to hospital sat evening and she was born just gone midnight Sunday morning! She was OP, so quite uncomfortable back pain and the mw refused to give me the gas and air until gone 10pm (?!) as she said she wasn't sure if I was in established labour! By which point I was almost hysterical! After I got the gas and air I was finally allowed in the pool and she was born about an her and half later, got my natural third stage too so all in all not bad. Baby was a huge 9.12!!

Congratulations makingmiracles! My little girl was op too - now we know why we had to wait so long.
