40+3 with second baby. First was early so I'm pretty frustrated. Have had sweep and reflexology. Anyone else fancy joining my pity party?!

Just been for a walk round tesco. We'd actually finished shopping but I insisted on carrying on going round as I could feel the cramps getting stronger. Come home and nothing's happening. So frustrating!
Dp just said he'll do a sweep for me Shock hmmm no thanks haha!
We've clearly made it too nice and comfy in there for them

betty10k · 11/06/2016 16:49

Snap we just went for a walk, nothing so far, sex and curry tonight!

ItsyBitsyBikini · 11/06/2016 18:01

Everything has died down. No BH for hours, and I feel really ill. Like tired and a bit woozy but I've had plenty of water so not sure what's up. I have also gone through every emotion today!

Sweetpotatoaddict · 11/06/2016 19:59

40+3 here with dc2, hoping for a vbac. Had a sweep Wednesday, lost my plug and was feeling crampy. Now getting the occasional run of braxton hicks. Just had curry for tea, shall go for a walk shortly and jump my dh later......
Good luck, here's hoping for lots of real contractions and fast labours Smile

Mrspopper · 12/06/2016 04:22

Mild contractions have started every two minutes. They are lasting around a minute but not too intense . Fingers crossed this is it!

Yay mrs I've been in labour since half 8 yesterday evening. Blimey these contractions hurt! Had a bath and just waiting for them to be more regular and then I'm going in. Good luck!

Mrspopper · 12/06/2016 05:10

Itsy that's great news! Mine are very regular but not too painful yet so I guess it might still be a while.

betty10k · 12/06/2016 07:11

Fingers crossed for you both, I've woken up very angry which i know is irrational and wrong hopefully it will pass soon.

superwormissuperstrong · 12/06/2016 08:21

Ooh wake up to 2 people starting - hope all goes well for you both and look forward to hearing about some bouncing babies arriving! :-)
Nothing here - got lunch out planned - let's see if that kicks anything off ;-)

ItsyBitsyBikini · 13/06/2016 03:44

So after 15 hours of labour, my little boy was born just before midday yesterday! So perfect!

makingmiracles · 13/06/2016 06:17

Aww congrats itsy!

Anyone else with news? I'm still here, feel terrible today, got chiropractor in a few hours though and mw again Wednesday.

superwormissuperstrong · 13/06/2016 08:09

Congratulations Itsy...
Hope all is well with mrspopper...

Nothing here :-( lots of bh yesterday and a bit crampy through the night but woke up fresh as a daisy. Still plenty of movements so baby ok at 40+5. Last time this was the day contractions started but that was after a very aggressive sweep and I'm not having one of those this time!

Mrspopper · 13/06/2016 08:24

24 hours of labour, Baby girl arrived at 2am. Whooping 9lb 7oz x

Congratulations ! It's my d day today, sweep tomorrow. I am so impatient now, this thread has helped.

dabchick88 · 13/06/2016 09:35

Congratulations Itsy and MrsP wonderful news! Still waiting here at 41+ 4 now! On the list for induction but hospital too busy. Really didn't imagine being this late. Nothing seems to want to get this baby out!

makingmiracles · 13/06/2016 09:36

Wow congrats mrspoppers! Good weight, all of mine were 9lb! Hope it went well and you're feeling ok.

Having some weird sensations this morning, really loud gurgley/popping noises from tummy, like you would if you had an upset stomach, although no upset stomach...hoping I don't have to jump off the chiropractors bench and rush to the loo halfway through! Lol whenever I've been to chiro before my spine has always been slightly out of my pelvis slightly tilted so hoping that a) he can reduce the pain I'm in as I feel like my pelvis is about to split in two and b) if any things "out" he can re-align it all so everything's how it should be for labour, hoping this might push me into labour with luck as I feel like I'm teetering on the edge atm.

makingmiracles · 13/06/2016 09:37

Snap dabchick, 40+4 here also Smile

dabchick88 · 13/06/2016 09:42

I'm 41+4! Hope you don't have to wait this long making

makingmiracles · 13/06/2016 13:31

Oops sorry dab Flowers

dabchick88 · 13/06/2016 14:06

Lol, no worries making :) only a matter or days left now :)

makingmiracles · 13/06/2016 14:18

How have the hospital left it? Do you have to ring every morning to see if you can go in for induction or will they call you when they have space?

betty10k · 13/06/2016 14:24

Congratulations girls! Thought I was getting there last night, had irregular contractions but again came to nothing. 41+2 today, been walking, digging allotment, about to hoover house - hoping something happens before midwife appt tomorrow.

dabchick88 · 13/06/2016 14:55

They said they will call when space so just waiting game really

superwormissuperstrong · 14/06/2016 08:12

Congratulations Mrs poppers
Hope you get your induction today dabchick...
Started twinging yesterday evening and irregular contractions started in the night. Still happening this morning but they're not very long or painful yet so not expecting much just yet. But this is how it was with #1 so I'm expecting a day of this and then fingers crossed for some real action this evening.
Was supposed to go in for some precautionary monitoring today so will phone midwives a bit later on and see what they say...

Mrspopper · 15/06/2016 03:16

How's everyone getting on?
