TopCivilServant · 23/06/2015 05:45

Pessary in at about 4pm. Firstly pains (like bad period) about 8pm. First contraction about 10am with waters breaking then. Baby born about 7pm.
Good luck!

Holden10 · 23/06/2015 05:56

Pessaries at 1pm and 7pm, waters artificially broken my midwife at 1.30pm the next day, drip put in at 2pm. Told to expect baby around 5am but thankfully was born at ten to 7 that night :) best of luck.

CaramellaDeVille · 23/06/2015 05:57

Put straight on drip due to complications. Baby born naturally 16 hours later.

CaramellaDeVille · 23/06/2015 05:57

Good luck OP X

Pessaries at noon and 6pm. Mild contractions from 9pm, waters broken at 1.45am and born at 3.20am. Second birth, though, and no epidural so that helped keep it quick

Igottastartthinkingbee · 23/06/2015 06:20

First 24hr pessary at 5pm. NOTHING happrned!! 7.30pm following day second pessary put in, period type pains began not long after, baby born at 11.40pm. Didn't really feel like I was in labour until about 10pm, not all inductions are bad! Good luck!

Igottastartthinkingbee · 23/06/2015 06:22

So once it got going it was very quick but be prepared for a long wait....

SummerDreams13 · 23/06/2015 06:23

Pessary in at 9pm, mini contractions (not bad) all night, went for a walk in morning (def advise if poss) and waters broke naturally at 11am. Had to go on a drip as there was meconium in the waters and baby born by ventouse at 2.30am. Good luck! Movement is best for as long as you can- everything slowed down after the epidural!

Emochild · 23/06/2015 06:24

Pessary at 7pm -nothing
Pessary at 7am -nothing
Pessary at 7pm -nothing
Pessary at 7am -told it was the last one I could have

Endless pacing around the hospital grounds, cramping started around 5pm
Delivered naturally at 5.20am

silverstreak · 23/06/2015 06:32

Pessary at 11am, nothing happened all day, 9:30pm partner went home. Contractions started at around 11pm (reeeeeally painful - sorry Op!) but still nothing till doctor confirmed at 11am that baby was in stress but want coming out voluntarily... Born by emcs at 12pm. Good luck!!!

onedogatoddlerandababy · 23/06/2015 07:11

Midwives able to break waters at 11.40am, (no gel needed) was having mild contractions but first proper 'ouch, I remember this really hurts' one around 1pm.
In active labour (4cm) at 3pm, fully dilated 4.15pm, baby born 4.39pm, so 5 hrs from start to finish.

She was my second though so perhaps that made it faster.

kally195 · 23/06/2015 07:22

Waters artificially broken at midnight, drip in at 1am, first contraction at 2am and DD was born at 8am. Everyone was slightly surprised at how quickly it was, as they didn't turn the drip up much.

llammallamamissesmama · 23/06/2015 07:28

Pessary at 5pm. Labour fully established by midnight. Baby born at 8am. All the very best - update us.

Oh and if the pessary sends you sky high with crazy wild persistent contractions, ask them to take it out!! I wish I had, I was very clearly "set off" and underway and needed no further help "ripening" but the staff were busy and I wasn't thinking clearly!

hazelnutlatte · 23/06/2015 07:28

Pessary in at 2pm, then another late evening sometime, nothing happened so drip at 6am, again nothing much happened so c section at 7pm.

TheEmpressofBlandings · 23/06/2015 07:33

Induction straight onto drip. First contractions 8pm, baby born 2 hours 20 minutes later. Took everyone a bit by surprise!

savasana · 23/06/2015 07:34
