I booked a c section on 13th April, and I will be 39+2 by then. but keep thinking if I should change to another date? As 13 tends to be kind of unlucky? Do what to know your opinion on that.

I have one born on the 13th. A Friday no less. Doesn't bother me, or her, one jot.

I have one. Sometimes it falls on a Friday. It really is just another day.

There's no such thing as a lucky or unlucky number/date. A day is a day is a day.

It wouldn't bother me-it's just another day!

My DS also was born on 13th by CS, opted for that day rather than 14th as that was Valentine's day. It's just a number.

I was in labour on the 13th, although. DS wasn't born until 14th, but midwife did mention that it was a few hours after the 13th. I hadn't even thought of it, but she said some mums really don't like it

I've only just realised that dd2 was born on 13th, never entered my head to be honest, it's just a date. Should it bother me?

DD1 was born on the 13th. I was induced. They asked if i minded, but by that point (5 days overdue) i just wanted the bloody baby out! Its never bothered either her or me.

Can't think why it would matter unless you were a massive triskaidekaphobe.

I have an even more unfortunate birthdate, but that's OT.

I was born on 13th. And it was a Friday. And I have a summer birthday, so should be doomed from an education point of view as well as seriously unlucky.

I seem to have survived okay so far.

My DS was born prematurely on the 13th. It's just a number. You can't really choose anyway, I never got within a month of my elcs date and even if you do you might get bumped if emergencies come in.

Report
Bowlersarm · 05/04/2015 14:03

It's always been a lucky number for me.

Just realised my current little bean is due near Halloween too. Good job I'm not superstitious!

I met Dh on Friday 13th, maybe it was unlucky for him Grin

I tend not to allow my life to be ruled by superstitious nonsense. It's so much easier, that way.

No. It's just a day. In Russia 13 is really lucky.

I passed my driving test on the 13th...and a Friday at that. First time Easter Grin

My youngest was born the on the 13th, doesn't bother me, never thought of it till i read this tbh

Of course it wouldn't matter.
If there were any real choice, I'd try and avoid Christmas Day, and possibly Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year's Day, but apart from that, the date in the month doesn't matter.
