For fun and wondering reasons really.. How many weeks were you when you went into labour. Were you expecting to come early? Induced? Differ from the other labours you had?

beckslovestimmy · 06/04/2013 15:57

38+1 wasn't expecting it as it was my first, also wasn't expecting a 4 hr labour with only a 4 minute pushing stage! Bibs was inpatient to meet us! Smile

photographerlady · 06/04/2013 16:18

Ds- 36+6, total shock.
Dd- 40+6, was hoping early, not fun being over!

beckslovestimmy · 06/04/2013 21:51

It was great photo it still bloody hurt but at least it was over with quickly. I can't have cost the NHS much either as I didn't have any time for pain reliefShock

Dogsmom · 06/04/2013 23:51

39+5 no symptoms until the day it started then a 30 hour back to back labour.

I've still got the stitches to show for it but also a beautiful daughter sleeping soundly in her cot next to me Smile

IdaClair · 06/04/2013 23:57

first 40+17 not induced, home birth with no pain relief, second 39+6 not induced, home birth with a paracetamol.

GoodtoBetter · 07/04/2013 07:10

with DS 36 weeks exactly and with DD 39 weeks.

sleepythegiraffe · 07/04/2013 07:18

Ds 39+5 born next day
Dd 39+6 induced and born next day

Tigresswoods · 07/04/2013 07:27

39w & 5 days. Went into labour 30mins after my first cup of raspberry leaf tea. Oops.

RemindMeWhatSleepIs · 07/04/2013 07:31

DD - born at 39weeks & 6 days. DH had been working away (only 2 hours away) but came home for the night before his last day of work. My waters broke in the middle of the night. Quick labour for a first. Had first contraction half an hour later and DD was born in 6 hours.

DS - born at 38 weeks. I'd had a show 8 days previously and loads of braxton hicks. DH had been working away for 2 weeks and I'd been really worried about him missing the birth. DH got home, my waters broke 2 hours later and DS born in 2 hours! Shock

Induced for GD at 39w, had him the day after. He was already on his way though and my dates (pre-scan) put me at 39+6 when he was born. Quite a long labour - contractions started at 2:30am, induced at 3:00pm, contracting until waters went at 4am and then had him at 4:00pm.

40, 40, 41 + 3 (one sweep), 42 (5 sweeps, crying, climbing the walls, depressed) Wink

Although saying that, the final birth was the biggest baby, born in the bag and an absolute doddle.

ChasingStaplers · 07/04/2013 08:10

DC1 - 37 weeks
DC2 - 38 weeks
DC3 - 39 weeks

All spontaneous labour although DC1 took 48 hours and DC3 only took two!

Trishstar · 07/04/2013 08:42

DS was born a week ago at 37+5 Grin

Hulababy · 07/04/2013 08:47

40+12 - failed induction so cs

mummytopoppy1 · 07/04/2013 09:48

DD: My waters broke at 39+6 (11pm) but I laboured slowly and gave birth at 40+1

StrawberriesTasteLikeLipsDo · 07/04/2013 09:52

38+4 with DS1 induction then EMCS
36+6 with Ds2 Elcs

StrawberriesTasteLikeLipsDo · 07/04/2013 09:53

Oh and the ELCS was worse than the EMCS, and I really mean worse, dont even like thinking of it
