Glad sweep went okay, cutiecat. Let's hope it does the trick. Have had fun and games here! Went for sweep this afternoon, which community midwife didn't do because said head not engaged. But then was sent for monitoring because baby's movements had changed. Midwife up there thought sweep a good idea so I got one after all! We'll see what happens! She said I was one cm dilated and she could feel head and stretch to two. It does all seem a bit meaningless so will carry on as normal and see what happens. Bp was raised too so have to have that checked tomorrow-narrowly escaped being admitted. She said there might be amniohook action tomorrow if still raised! Def no home birth-another concern raised so think it's game over on that.

How was sports day?

Sports day went well thank you, though I have explained to my DD that sucking her thumb while running is not a good idea.

Sounds like you have had an eventful day. Pleased for you that they didn't admit you. My midwife could feel the baby's head and I have been in quite a lot of discomfort since. I am also feeling very tearful but I am not sure that is not because my DH said something today that implied that it was my fault the baby has not come. I know he doesn't really think that but he is off work and twiddling his thumbs, go back to work I said. Bound to happen when he is not here.

Anyway I am going to watch One Born Every Minute USA tonight. That might get me going. Will keep you posted and hope that things move along for you.

Ooh-dh made a comment the other day that implied it was inconvenient workwise that the baby was not here yet. It did not go down well . I feel your pain on comments made by dp's, cutiecat. However hard it is for them.

Kitcat is quiet. Do we think she is in labour?

Think its all starting to happen here as just had a succession of really painful contractions four minutes apart! Lets hope that they dont all stop like they did with DS!!

Hormoneoverload- hope you got some sleep. Lets hope kitcat has had her baby. I have lost my mucas plug this morning. Not had that before, just off to google what it means. Fingers crossed.
