I have just been for a wee and for the 2nd time today experienced a popping feeling as I sat on the loo. Also I have been getting a wet gusset all day, discharge & dampness. Trickling not gushing. Sorry if this puts some of you off your pot noodles. I am going in tomorrow morning for my pre c/s checks and then having baby on Friday am. And can anyone tell me if waters trickling stains your pants. This is probably the last time I can post on here cos of the shame of asking such yukky questions.

And thanks FIO2, I do hope I will be a great Auntie!

pupuce · 02/10/2003 21:24

Wiltshire.... can you tell us what happened after you ran off ??? As you can see we were wondering!

codswallop · 02/10/2003 21:27

Soleil - surely?

wobblyknicks · 03/10/2003 11:35

I remember when I had dd soon after discovering mumsnet and I started a topic on whether I was in labour or not, quickly realised I was and went off to hospital and didn't come back on for about 3 weeks because of the hospital stay. So here's hoping wiltshire comes back soon!

She must have had the baby by now surely, or maybe be in the middle of having it!!! God, I'm getting excited now!

bobsmum · 03/10/2003 11:38

Wobbly - I missed it too - Wiltshire and Max are here

wobblyknicks · 05/10/2003 09:18

Thanks bobsmum - I didn't think to check the birth announcements - head's all over the place!!!

Big congrats wiltie!

Withshire - here is another attempt :

Wiltshire.... can you tell us what happened after you ran off ??? As you can see we were wondering!

Oakmaiden · 10/10/2003 18:11

pupuce - she already has - there is the Little Wiltshire thread in the birth announcements, plus another thread in the same place which is an update thread. She has aso posted a couple of times since on the due in Sept/oct thread.

pupuce · 10/10/2003 18:16

I know she had the section I wondered what happened from where we told her she was having a leak to her section some 2 days later.... did she go to the hopital, what did they tell her ???

Oakmaiden · 10/10/2003 18:21

~She posted on the due thread today with a snippet of info!

pupuce · 10/10/2003 18:30

Call me nosey...
But that didn't really answer my question....
She posted here - went into a blind panic and reappeared days later saying she had baby by section and was havng trouble with her scar.
I know her section was elective.

Oakmaiden · 10/10/2003 18:45

Ah, I see. Nosey.

So you were after a blow by blow account. Fair enough. Cooooooooeeeeeeee, Wiltshire....

tinyfeet · 22/12/2003 15:49

Pupuce or anyone else - have just read this thread and am in a bit of a panic. Yesterday evening, went to bathroom and a thickish whitish mucus came out - no pink tinge whatsoever. Didn't think anything of it - went to sleep. This morning, went to the bathroom again much more thick white mucus - about a finger-length whitish discharge - slightly cloudy came out. Again, no pink tinge. Didn't have this last time. Sorry to be so gross. Anyone know if this means anything? I figure it is not amniotic fluid, as the consistency was thickish.

mears · 22/12/2003 16:21

Still sounds like 'show'. Show is not always blood streaked initially and there is hundreds of it like a plug in the cervix. It's proper name is operculum. It is perfectly normal to pass lumps of it. How many weeks are you tinyfeet?

tinyfeet · 22/12/2003 16:34

Thanks for responding, Mears. This is technically my 40th week. Any idea if this show means that I will be delivering in the next few days - or does it essentially not mean anything? Other than a few braxton hicks - hard belly-contractions, I have not been having any, and my doc says that I'm barely 1 centimeter dilated.

Hollymaiden · 22/12/2003 21:05

SAdly it essentially means that your body is peparing to give birth, and you are likely to have your baby within the next couple of weeks. But then you knew that, didn't you?

GlitterGrommit · 22/12/2003 21:36

Tinyfeet - can't add anything useful, just good luck - it will happen soon!!!

mistletoes · 23/12/2003 13:24

Thanks, GGrommit. Just thought I'd let you know that you'll see me as Mistletoes. My name is not as clear as yours. Hope you are doing well with your new wee one.

GladTidings · 23/12/2003 13:35

Good Luck Mistletoes!

mistletoes · 23/12/2003 14:32

Thanks, GT. Who are you usually??

GladTidings · 23/12/2003 14:33

M2T
I think I'll stick to this name even after Christmas! It's much nicer than my previous one.

mistletoes · 23/12/2003 15:13

Ah, I would've never guessed. I think I'll keep Mistletoes, too

marsup · 23/12/2003 21:25

tinymistletoesfeet - how are your contractions going? mine are getting quite sore but not regular. Feels like he wants to come out the back way if at all, which is not like the B Hicks I had before. Everyone says you just know the difference between BH and 'real' contractions - but how??? ...this could go on for weeks...

mears · 23/12/2003 23:13

Did the 'show' start before or after the doctor examined you tinyfeet? It is not unusual to have show passed after an internal. You can actually pass mucous for days (sometimes weeks) before labour starts. Why did he examine you in the first place?

mistletoes · 24/12/2003 02:16

Marsup, I think the big difference is BH - is when your belly gets all hard - I've been having these a couple of times a day - they are slightly uncomfortable, but not painful. I do think the real contractions are painful and are felt on the backside, as well as all round the front. Sounds like you are having the real thing. I'm just having the Bhicks.
Mears, I should've been more clear. The last time my doctor examined me was 1 week ago - at that time, I was 1 cm dilated. I didn't have the show until 2 days ago, so it wasn't as a result of the internal, I don't think. Someone else also said that they passed mucous, but didn't deliver until 17 days later. Thanks for the advice. Haven't yet even hit my due date, just getting a bit impatient atm. Happy Christmas!
