I am 39 weeks today with DC4 and so fed up. I have a stinking cold, water infection and taking antibiotics that make me feel sick, SPD, sciatica and a slipped disc!! I have been having really strong BHs but am convinced that, like my 3 DSs, I will be late!! My house is a mess and as for nesting......! My DSs are back to school today and I am sure they are relieved as I seem to shout and moan all the time but then again they are boys and they are lazy!!! DH has given up asking how I am as if he asks I just go on and on!!!

Sorry to moan but just wanted to see if anyone else is feeling as fed up as me.

That sucks MajorPettigrew! Make sure you call him the moment you have your first contraction and fingers crossed he will make it.

Madhouse41 · 08/11/2010 09:58

What a nightmare MajorPettigrew. Just take it really easy this week and try not to worry. Like Lorelai says, if anything does start to happen phone DP asap.

DD tomorrow and although I convinced myself it was all starting last night, nothing!!! Busy week with DS1 and my dad's birthdays tomorrow and DH wanting to go to important (yeah right) football matches on Wednesday and Saturday so sods law it will happen one of those days!!

Hope all feeling ok today.

Still nothing here either so have had to come into work :( but at least I gave something to keep my mind occupied so I am not obsessing (as much!)

Madhouse41 · 09/11/2010 14:53

Well I woke up this morning after a crampy night and have been having a pinky show all day. I don't have any major pain just strong braxton hicks that are not regular. All very frustrating as I thought things might get going quite quickly with it being my 4th but now beginning to think that it may take a few days!! At least I'll be here when DS1 gets home for his birthday tea party.

Anything happening elsewhere?

emmab5 · 09/11/2010 18:22

Hi ladies, nothing happening here! Lots of lower back pains/cramps but nothing else.

I am booked in for induction tomorrow if baby in right position if not looks like a c-section for me this time round. Have got to the point were I don't care how baby comes out I just want him here!

Hope you are all ok. Keep focusing on the fact that by the end of this month we'll all have our babies Smile

MajorPettigrew · 09/11/2010 20:05

Will they give you a c section tomorrow? Or would you have to be rebooked back in?

Nothing happening here either - more shows today, but nothing much else going on.

DP still away - hopefully he'll be back by Friday. Keeping my fingers (and legs) crossed!

Good luck for tomorrow. Let us know how you get on (if you can!)

Lorelai · 09/11/2010 20:41

Nothing happening here either; in fact less cramping etc than before. Just realised haven't felt the baby move for a while though so will be keeping an eye on that now!

Lorelai · 09/11/2010 20:49

Never mind it is moving after all! Has just calmed down a lot in the last few days so easier to miss.

MajorPettigrew · 11/11/2010 19:26

DP on way home! Very pleased.

How are you all doing?

emmab5 · 11/11/2010 19:53

Hi Ladies, how are you all doing?

Just thought i'd let you know that I was induced yesterday and had a gorgeous baby boy in the early hours of this morning :o

Am sore and tired but so so happy. My other DC are completely smitten with him Smile

We are back at home now which is great as I really didn't want to stay in hospital any longer than necessary.

Major - glad your DP is no his way home, that must be reassurung for you.

Lorelai · 11/11/2010 20:07

That's great major - bet baby comes almost as soon as he is back as your body will relax and know it is ok now.

Congratulations emmab!

Nothing much happening here, just a few Braxton-Hicks today.

MajorPettigrew · 13/11/2010 15:50

That's wonderful news emmab.

Congratulations.

Hope the birth wasn't too bad. Good thing you are home and can enjoy your family all together.

No movement for me yet - but having a lovely break as DP has taken over all household and childcare duties - yeah! (Although I do wonder how long this will continue for......!)

emmab5 · 13/11/2010 17:55

Thank you Smile

Birth was ok the longest one for me so far a whopping 4 1/2 hrs lol! He's a lovely baby. He seems to have slotted into the family so easily - unless i'm being lured into a false sense of security!

Lorelai when's your due date?

Major Glad your DP is home with you. Enjoy the break whilst it lasts - milk it for all it's worth :o

I'm wondering if Madhouse is having/had her baby as we've not heard from her for a few days x

Lorelai · 13/11/2010 18:08

Due date is 2 weeks today so could be ages yet. But think my waters may have gone; only a very slight trickle though not a gush so not sure whether to bother calling hospital. Timing so awkward as about to put DD to bed so everything gets difficult. Why couldn't they have gone 4 hrs ago??? Then again may not have gone at all...

emmab5 · 14/11/2010 21:23

I would ring the hospital Lorelai if there's any chance your waters have broken.

Have you got someone who can look afer your DD?

How's everyone else? Smile

Lorelai · 14/11/2010 21:36

Nah, they haven't gone, was just being paranoid. Again!

Madhouse41 · 15/11/2010 19:01

Hi. Congratulations emmab5. Glad all went well for you. I too had my baby on Thursday at 945pm, a DD to go with my 3 DSs, so we are all of course smitten and gob smacked!! Convinced I was having another DS. The midwife even told me when I arrived at hospital that it was a boys heartbeat!! I came home Friday and we are trying to get our lives back in some order!! It's amazing how you forget how this little person just seems to take over and very little else gets done!! My DSs are being amazing and helping so much. At last I can buy some pink!!!

Good luck to all who are yet to give birth. It is an amazing thing. Bloody painful but amazing!! Smile

I am fed up..SPD and now another water infection. I am only 38 plus 2 but thought I was going into labour last night as woke up at 5am with awful contractions which got stronger and then just stopped at 9:00am. I am wondering if it is because the baby couldnt get into position (he is currently back to back). I am in so much pain feel sick and just want it all to be over as I am terrified of giving birth.

Lorelai · 15/11/2010 19:52

Congratulations madhouse!

Kitten - that must have been so frustrating! Have you tried all the foetal positioning stuff to get him to move round to the front?

kitten30 · 15/11/2010 20:04

To be honest I havent tried as much as I could have but that has been down to suffering from SPD .. being on all fours with bum in the air is quite an achievement to get into such a position let alone stay in it. I think as my placenta is on the front wall that has a lot to do with it as it seems most women with OP babies have the same thing. I will try tonight to get him to shift while watching tv...ouch.

Lorelai · 15/11/2010 20:12

:( poor you. My DD was semi back to back and i didn't really know enough to try and get her to shift. If all fours is bad can you try just sitting upright or slightly leaning forwards with a cushion under your bum to lift your hips so they are higher than your knees?

emmab5 · 15/11/2010 21:50

That's fantastic news Madhouse - congratulations Smile Enjoy buying lots of pink x

My DD, DS and DSS are all being so good with DS2 which is really helping as this little man has completley taken over the house lol!

Kitten try the 'spinning babies' website it has some really useful tips on how to get baby to turn. Also try not to worry too much if baby stays back to back as DS2 was in this position and although it took my cervix longer to thin than in the other labours it did't feel much different. Have you spoken to your midwife about your childbirth fears?

Lorelai i'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's your turn soon Smile

kitten30 · 15/11/2010 22:16

Hi Emmab5..not really I have only started to fret because he hasnt yet turned and I stupidly have been watching you tube videos which really hasnt helped :(

Lorelai · 15/11/2010 22:55

Thanks emma. I would be fine with waiting if I hadn't had the show (2weeks ago now!) as that made me think things were happening.

Try not to worry too much kitten. DD's birth was difficult but not too bad - 12 hrs, 45 mins pushing, epidural and episiostomy. Sounds bad when I say that but it really wasn't compared to what some people go through. So not all back to back labours are horrendous.

emmab5 · 18/11/2010 11:52

Hi Ladies, hope you are all well.

Kitten - no more you tube or google for you lol!

We are under house arrest at the minute as my 4yr old DS has decided to pick the best time to get chicken pox bless him!Sad My 10 yr old DD has never had them either so I keep expecting her to wake up covered in spots any day now. Am really hoping baby DS2 doesn't get them - keeping fingers/toes etc etc crossed.

Oh well at least i'm on mat leave and haven't got to worry about organising work around poorly children x
