So, what gestation were you when you went into labour?

I am 39+5 and getting pretty desperate, so to make myself feel better (or possibly worse) I thought I would ask everyone what gestation they were when they went into labour (ELCs don't count!) so I can determine a rough average!
Now, I am well aware that even if everyone here went at 39+6 that doesn't mean I will, but surely compulsively checking the replies on this thread will kill some time
I'll start; 38+5 with DD...

So far we have
Average gestation: 279 1/3 (so about 39+6)

(Disclaimer: I made DH do the maths!)

Well I'm 39+3 and no sign of anything here so think I'll be going over!

Trying to mentally prepare myself for it so it isn't too depressing when Monday comes and goes with no baby!!

bruffin · 29/07/2010 18:51

DS 38+5 (but induced0
DD 37+2
I saw midwife for 37 week check up and she said "I would say see you next week, but I don't think I will" and she was right!

susitwoshoes · 29/07/2010 18:53

40 + 3, labour started on my due date, induced 2 days later due to prolonged rupture of membranes (I had Group B strep).

puffylovett · 29/07/2010 18:56

picklemum · 29/07/2010 19:25

1st. 40+ 17 then failed induction led to CS ( that consultant said was v hard to do as baby not enagaged at all and too high up !)

2nd. Twins- which half the time come early, it was 40 + 11. Waters broke & labour started at 40+10.

If it helps a very experinced midwife told me that taller women tend to go overdue more. I am 6'8 1/2''
