So, what gestation were you when you went into labour?

I am 39+5 and getting pretty desperate, so to make myself feel better (or possibly worse) I thought I would ask everyone what gestation they were when they went into labour (ELCs don't count!) so I can determine a rough average!
Now, I am well aware that even if everyone here went at 39+6 that doesn't mean I will, but surely compulsively checking the replies on this thread will kill some time
I'll start; 38+5 with DD...

ds 38 weeks exactly (first day of maternity leave).

dd 39 weeks exactly ( first day of maternity leave).

At no point did I get to loll around as planned - oh no, and with my two I have never lolled since.

Honeydragon · 29/07/2010 20:43

undercovamutha · 29/07/2010 20:47

39 + 1
39 + 1
39 + 1
39 + 4 (felt positively hard done by! Though dh was in the northern isles at 39 + 1 which would have been tricky).

Emster30 · 29/07/2010 21:23

38+6, DS born at 39+0. Though by my LMP date that was actually 40+0.

lollyheart · 29/07/2010 21:29

40+2
38
39

BarbieLovesKen · 29/07/2010 21:52

dd 40 + 11 (induced)

ds 40 + 2 (it was really more like 40 + 1 in fairness though, as I went into labour at 1.10 in the morning of second day over) - very pissed off thinking I probably was going to go nearly 2 weeks again but waters broke in bed without any prior warning...

You poor thing, I started this exact thread back in January, I thought it would never end!!!!! try enjoy though - I know that sounds crazy but Id love to be doing it all again...

best of luck, hope all is happy and healthy xx

surprisenumber3 · 30/07/2010 14:37

cupofcoffee · 30/07/2010 14:54

40 weeks exactly with ds2
39 weeks with dd

fernie3 · 30/07/2010 15:38

40+6

the next two induced early because of blood pressure at 36+0 and 37+0 not sure they count as I think they were quite happy to stay put lol

number four still waiting currently at 39+2 and counting. sigh.

Stephief · 30/07/2010 21:16

Number 1 22 weeks (she died)
Number 2 34 weeks
Number 3 41+6 weeks
Number 4 44 weeks (I kid you not, ended up with emcs due to the problems this caused!)

Number 5 is a ELCS so labour is not going to happen!
