No twinges.

No show.
Nothing.

Just outrageously Bad Tempered.
With DD I went into labour on the due date and she was born the next morning, and I just assumed it'd be similar this time round.
I might kill the next muppet well-wishing relative/friend that Just Rings To See How I Am.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Rocinante · 30/07/2010 06:32

Final hot curry last night didn't work so saving a miracle between now and 9'o'clock I'm off to be induced this morning.

I really never envisaged this scenario, what with DD being pretty much on time and straightforward. Oh well, at least the end is in sight .

Wishing everyone else good vibes and hoping you all start labour soon!

QueenOfFlamingEverything · 30/07/2010 06:35

Good luck

Hard to get your head round isn't it, when you've had one straightforward on-time birth and then Nothing Happens second time round. Sure you will be fine and back soon typing one-handed with baby in the other arm

Good luck

Can you go via a bumpy road? At least the end is now in sight.

lifeistooshort · 30/07/2010 13:17

Hi ladies I hope you are well. Theo was born on Wed night at 23.55 at home. We are both doing well but very knackered. I hope it is not too long for you all

Alicetheinvisible · 31/07/2010 10:28

Congratulations!! Theo is a lovely name

QueenOfFlamingEverything · 31/07/2010 11:21

Thank you ladies he is lovely and I am utterly besotted. Any twinges for you?

Rocinante · 31/07/2010 18:51

Hello,
Just a quick message to let you know the induction went fine - just one dose of gel needed to start things off and Sophia Elisabeth was born a few hours later.

I was a bit disappointed to get to the labour suite and be told that a waterbirth wouldn't be possible because of the induction (no-one else had said that) but as things turned out, I was only there for 15 minutes before she was born so there wouldn't have been time to run the water anyway .

Good luck those of you still waiting.

Alicetheinvisible · 01/08/2010 17:00

Congratulations so glad it went smoothly, these are the type of inductions you don't hear about!

blackcurrants · 01/08/2010 22:46

I was induced on Tuesday - the pessary didn't do anything so I had a drip, but after 12 hours of watching telly saying "is this working then?" I then had a really exciting and busy 12 hours, and Benjamin was born at a tidy 9lbs, and we've been home since Friday, and it's lovely.
I hope everyone else has their divine-smelling baby very very soon. It does feel AMAZING not being pregnant anymore!

Alicetheinvisible · 02/08/2010 09:27

Another Congratulations!!!

lifeistooshort · 02/08/2010 11:04

congratulations Blackcurrants and Rocinante! And a warm welcome to Benjamin and Sophia!
I thought you two had been a bit quiet...now I know it is because it is all happening!

Talking of which our favourite majesty is being a bit quiet too....

blackcurrants · 02/08/2010 13:29

Ooh yes, I do hope TheQueen has finally got her LO to snuggle. God, even after a night like last night (not hungry, not wet, not tired, just wanted a scream... lovely!) - even THEN I still thought "well this is better than being pregnant!"

Alicetheinvisible · 02/08/2010 15:20

Blackcurrants - i remember thinking that even after a week of no sleep

Queen has either had/having baby or comitting a murder i know i am close to it and i am not due til next monday!

QueenOfFlamingEverything · 02/08/2010 17:53

Nope, I still have no baby. I am starting to wonder if there is in fact any baby After all, they managed to fake the moon landings.....

So Alicetheinvisible wins - I am closer to committing murder than having a baby right now - all it'll take is one more person to look at me and say Haven't You Had That Baby Yet.

I was due on Saturday and am already sick of the constant "have you had the baby yet?" questions from friends/family/neighbours.

Also feeling totally not close to giving birth I haven't had a single twinge, no braxton hicks, nothing.

bluefootedpenguin · 02/08/2010 20:04

Just wanted to send my best wishes. I went to term plus 14 yesterday and was booked in for induction. In the end I was already 3.5cm with DC2 so only waters needed to be broken. Speedy delivery 1hr 15 start to finish, home 2 hours later. Don't get too down, I know its hard as I was thoroughly fed up especially after stop start contractions for the past week. Good luck.x
