Advice for my 11yo daughter struggling with anxiety & confidence

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for some advice about my 11-year-old daughter. She’s always been quite shy, but lately her anxiety has really been getting in the way — especially with school. She gets very nervous in the mornings and sometimes feels sick at the thought of going in. She worries about what other kids think of her and has very little confidence in herself, even though she’s such a lovely, kind girl.

I’ve tried talking to her teachers, and they’re supportive, but I still feel like I’m not sure how best to help her build her confidence and feel more comfortable. Has anyone been through something similar with their child? What helped?

I would get her a therapist she can talk to.

Anyone who struggles with anxiety knows how awful it can be and I think when you are that age it's scary and you think you are the only person experiencing it and no one will understand. Learning at an early age that you aren't the only one, that there are things you can do to reduce/control it better could be really helpful to her.

One of my children struggled with anxiety and struggled to leave the house - what really helped was a hobby of their's that gave them confidence, a lovely therapist and Bachs Rescue Remedy (might be a placebo but it gives them comfort). They are in their teens now and anxiety does occasionally occur but it rarely takes over.

We have found this book is amazing for anxiety in our 13 year old. It doesn't need the child to do anything or go to therapy/talk to anyone - which many children find hard.

Thank you so much you have really helped massively, I got her a good vibes journal with loads of stickers that say, never give up, believe in yourself, faith over fear, you are beautiful, keep up the good work, no one is you that is your power, etc there's 100s and shes writing in it everyday 😊 helping loads and breathwork is really helping too since reading 📚 Jake parker and the power of breath book x
