maxi Cosi car seat bases

hi, I was wondering if someone would have the answer to my question.

I current have the cabrio fix r44 and a family fix base as well as a pearl 2 way fix with the 2 way base. I was wondering weather I can use the cabrio fix on the 2 way fix. when I have tried it it seems to fix perfectly so was wondering why they are deemed as incompatible. has anyone else done this?

I have the same question about the new cabrio fix I size as looking to upgrade.

They have a chart showing them all here.

I wouldn't try to attach one that shows incompatible - if it gets stuck, it might damage the attachment part, which is critical to hold the seat on the base in an accident.

Oh hang on, actually, I've found an old chart where they say that the Cabriofix R44 is compatible with the 2wayfix, but not recommended, because of it being a mix of regulations (which I take to mean that it's technically and physically identical).

The Cabriofix i-size is not compatible with either of the bases you have according to the current up to date chart.
