I have been diagnosed with grade 1 Non specific type breast cancer today with dcis in situ. Lymph nodes clear from ultrasound.

I am massively worried. has anyone had any experience of this?

I’ve got anxiety now about this being worse than it is. Like they say the grade as changed and it’s spread. Honestly my brain is exhausted

If you buy a Trip calm drink, there’s a code on them for 3 months free calm premium which is a good deal
I find the sleep stories really helpful

Ikeameatballlunch · 16/12/2025 06:19

Scan was fine thanks 🙂 of course felt silly but it was good to be checked and I was able to request some help with tamoxifen

does it help you to know that Kylie had stage 3 cancer 20 years ago? It was in her lymph nodes. She had chemo, radio and I believe took tamoxifen.

she’s about to potentially get an Xmas number 1 and looks bloody amazing 🤩

Thursday is coming round quickly and I am not coping well.
I just keep feeling like nothing is in my control anymore and the rug is going to be pulled out from under me any which way I turn 🥺

OP posts:
ohdoriswheresthesalad · 17/12/2025 18:09

Can someone please help me 😭😭😭
I am terrified of tomorrow’s results
not even of mastectomy or surgery
what if I’m told it’s worse from the mri than they expected?
I spoke to macmilian this morning and they helped me so much but now I’m back to where I started again and the fear is so overwhelming

Whatever the results you will get the courage and support, not just from the professionals and your family, but also from MN. Large glass of vino collapso and a lovely soak in the bath if that is your thing.

Big Hug

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 17/12/2025 19:06

I am terrified

Agree, what ever the results are, you will feel so much better when you have a plan.

It’s the unknowns about the unknowns right now but once you do know more of them, you’ll be whisked into a proactive support system.

Ikeameatballlunch · 18/12/2025 08:59

Give MacMillan a call again today before your appointment and ask them to help you think of practical questions to write down that you can hand the team.

all the very best and thinking of you today

LoudSnoringDog · 18/12/2025 09:56

What time is your appt OP?

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 18/12/2025 12:29

Lumpectomy Monday, cells that have invaded is 1.4cm with a 4cm mass so she’ll remove that and extra margins to be sure. No further spread anywhere. could lead to further surgery down the line if margins are not clear but she’s optimistic that everything will go as it should do!

LeftBoobGoneRogue · 18/12/2025 12:58

@ohdoriswheresthesalad
I hope you’re feeling less scared now you know the plan, and that it’s still a lumpectomy. Wishing you all the best for Monday. It’s will all be done by Xmas and you will be back home relaxing and relieved that step is over.
It’s 3 months since I had mine and 3 weeks since my 5 days of radiotherapy and I’m doing well. Started letrozole 2 weeks ago so it’s early days on that score.

ohdoriswheresthesalad · 18/12/2025 13:09

I’m feeling so very relieved.
im glad you are ok after yours bless you.

This is reassuring news. Stock up on the codeine. Wear your supportive bras and let people run around you. Be a Queen.
