I am mainly Bs and Cs . Well My DH is Bs all the way and I am lots of annoying Cs with some Ds. We have mismatched cushions, matching plastic kitsch wine glasses, vintage glass tea light holders and a home made vintage ticking wind break! Then we have head torches at night, a very functional camping stove, and many a study plastic box.

SethStarkaddersMum · 17/04/2010 19:16

We just bought some enamel plates etc for this year - classic white with blue rims. I am not sure what category they fall into. Apparently Ray Mears or someone said enamel was better than plastic (cos easier to clean) but they do look a bit glampy - what do you think?

MartinlovesDebi · 17/04/2010 19:25

glampy. nothing wrong with that

thatsnotmymonkey · 17/04/2010 19:32

We have enamel tin mugs for steaming cups of tea in the morning and coffee with baileys in the evenings!

CaptainNancy · 17/04/2010 19:33

Surely Caravanning hero is Margaret Beckett, non?

wastwinsetandpearls · 17/04/2010 19:34

All Cs and Ds.

SethStarkaddersMum · 17/04/2010 19:34

we have mugs too
Can't WAIT!

elliemental · 17/04/2010 19:37

oh fuck, apparantely I am C. But can i say in my defence I am Old-Skool Glamper. I am old, I have done minimialist on a motorbike, , my kids are older now, we had a camper van and we do festival so all the stuff is just 'around'. Including the LED fairy lights......

SeaShellsOnTheSeaShore · 17/04/2010 19:55

Bs and Ds, with a history of As. Aspire to glamping but there is not enough room in the car, plus dh would go mad if I filled the tent with fairy lights, he is A and B

mybabywakesupsinging · 17/04/2010 21:12

Mixture of B and A.
Less is more mainly because we haven't bought (can not afford) a roof box.
We can not
go to the pub as there are 2 small people in the tent asleep so we scored a D for drinking rose, without the porch.

Thanks, that was great!

paisleyleaf · 17/04/2010 21:18

Oh that's great!
'c's

thatsnotmymonkey · 17/04/2010 21:50

We do Pimms and ginger beer on arrival for tent pitching ease.

IwishIwasmoreorganised · 17/04/2010 21:59

Mostly d's here

OP - where did you get that picture of me and my family?!

serinBrightside · 17/04/2010 22:44

We are A's, great, have never got an A in anything. Might put that on my C.V.

Love your quiz slubber.

Slubberdegullion · 18/04/2010 07:36

tarantula - these here are delta pegs or delta ground anchors to give them their proper name .

There is almost a religious devotion to them on ukcs.

I was fully converted after reading BadKitten's testimonial about them a few years back. Without them she and all her family would have been blown away into the sea.

I never leave home without them now

Thank you Fliight for your post

Slubberdegullion · 18/04/2010 08:50

I know I know I know

can't you just lump yourself in with the utilitarians. You have a thing for plastic boxes too iirc.

wait.....

you don't have a telly in your van do you?

OP posts:
BariatricObama · 18/04/2010 08:54

feck off! course not!

Batteryhuman · 18/04/2010 09:03

Rather too many Ds! But never Crocs, flip flops or wellies.

I have those enamel plates with the blue rim, does that make me a Glamper?

Slubberdegullion · 18/04/2010 09:07

phew @ no telly. and hey mrs there is a thread with your name on it in the camping topic.

Enamel plates are uncatagorisable I think. Don't they make the food go cold more quickly though?

faddle · 19/04/2010 21:28

D's all the way except for the fairy lights

paisleyleaf · 21/04/2010 21:14

Just rereading the quiz. I love it.
The hens bit is so funny

Tikkabillajive · 21/04/2010 22:43

I've joined this thread late but I love the quiz! We only started camping as a family last summer but I can already recognize all these very distinct types!

I seem to linger mostly around the B's with the occasional, slightly wistful yearning towards C.

Which reminds me, last summer I saw some actual, real glampers - I'd thought they only existed in magazine shoots - but there they were - about 4 bell tents, with an amazing Glastonbury-style canvas awning covering the central plaza of their encampment and ACTUAL bunting, with mismatched painted wooden chairs (with hotchpotch floral cushions, natch) and proper wine glasses and everything. My friend and I were so astonished we had to walk around their set up about five times to take it all in!

Slubberdegullion · 22/04/2010 19:02

Tikkabilla - I have never seen full on glampers in action either. I'm not suprised you walked round their set up so many times. It sounds amazing (and although I hate to admit it rather lovely) - A Canvas PLAZA eh? cor
