Hi Pavlov - yes it is wonderful! I was actually a bit disappointed that the weather was so lovely when we went away as I wanted to sit in my beautiful tent and chill out! Instead everyone kept making me go on bike rides and the like.

No don't have a woodburner although DH is now so in lurve with it that he wants one. he has vague ideas of going mountain biking in the winter somewhere remote and coming back to wifey cooking something delicious on the stove in a toasty tent. Wifey thinks a spa might be more fun...

Have you spent far more than you'd like to admit kitting it out in true bohochic?

VanillaPumpkin · 16/06/2009 19:07

What tent do you currently have?
Vango Tigris 800 in Smoke/Black

Where have you been this year?
Pillaton Pools, Penkridge Staffs for our first test run

Where are you planning on going?
Lower Lacon, Wem
Secret remote 'Cool Camping' recommended field site
Somewhere in Derbyshire

What do you lust after camping wise?
A wind break, a canopy, coleman xtreme cool box, a travel bbq or possibly a Cobb, oh and a roof box to fit it all in. (Have the Fat airics, they are great!!!)

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 16/06/2009 19:30

orange no, not too much money so far - you see I had lots of muslin swathes and throws from my wedding left over, and I have decked it out in all this!!! I am going to stitch a couple of little hooks at the top/sides and hang the swathes properly!!! And we have a L.O.V.E mobile that we have hung outside over the a-frame top! I want to get a matt for outside though, to wipe our feet on! (or maybe something wooden).

We found all our friends in our tent in the midday sun as they could not even get into their tents due to the insides of their tents being excessively hot - and with our sides taken up, it floated with a fab cool breeze through it!

I was very sad though - I had throws to put over the clothes/camping box etc so that there was no mess noticeable. everything had to look like it was meant to be there .

I shall be spending a fortune over the next few years though I am sure!

Fillyjonk · 16/06/2009 19:32

I have a vango venture 500

I really want a bell tent, and also a drying room with a high ceiling.

Fillyjonk · 16/06/2009 19:35

oh i have solar fairy lights for the inside of my tent.

tbh though they are a bit cack, as they don't work until it is REALLY dark. Now it doesn't get REALLY dark until quite late.

You could maybe get round this by not buying super-cheapo-cacky solar lights.

I also have bunting

FlappyTheBat · 16/06/2009 19:41

Tent - Montana 6, extension and canopy.
Been - Wester Ross.
Going - Nowhere else unless I pluck up courage to take dd's away myself and pitch tent on my own.
Lust after - Cobb and Fat Airics

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 16/06/2009 19:45

Filly you definately need a soulpad if you got bunting and solar lights. I stayed in a yurt a little while ago with fab solar fairy lights, they were fine as it started to get dark, but not quite dark.

It rained on saturday for about and hour, and that night was very damp, and the soulpad was fine inside and dried out lovely by the next day.

Surfermum · 16/06/2009 19:52

Sunncamp Vario 9, Gelert Cadiz 5 and a VW T4 campervan
Have been to Cornwall, France, New Forest so far
Planning on going to Somerset x 2, Cornwall x 2, near Harrogate, Somerset again
I lust after ..... actually I don't think I do now I have my fat airic and a rotary washing line. Oh I know! I new kitchen unit.

A MN camp would be great - I went to the idea place at the weekend and had exactly that thought.

MumHadEnough · 16/06/2009 19:52

I have a Gelert Cadiz 4 + 2, its perfect for the three of us, we use the bedroom pod for storing food and clothes etc.

We haven't been anywhere this year yet. Planning a weekend at Alyth in Perthshire and possibly Pettycur Bay in Fife. Then we're booked in for a week to Stanwix Park in Cumbria (please God let the weather be good).

I lust after a utility tent, just for the food and camping kitchen. BUT I'd need to buy a bigger car for that . I have just treated myself to a camping kitchen, a windbreak, an electric coolbox, an EHU and swapped our coleman comfort airbeds for 3 self inflating mats.

specialmagiclady · 16/06/2009 20:25

we have: A Khyam Ontario 8

Been: nowhere yet

Going: this weekend to Suffolk, hoping to get lots of weekends in this summer with various mates.

Lust: What you all said, but mostly Soulpad or similar bell tent....

Fillyjonk · 16/06/2009 20:39

yes i do agree pavlov, i have thought for a long time I need some form of a bell tent, soulpads look good

also need woodburning stove.

sadly also need new washing machine

Fillyjonk · 16/06/2009 20:40

oh yes and anyone without airics needs to be lusting after them

PavlovtheForgetfulCat · 16/06/2009 20:56

I have an Airic. In fact I have had it for years, it really ain't much cop imo! I prefer to sleep with my partner, not next to him (unless they come in doubles, which it does not appear they do. I much prefer the aerobed and my duvet and pillows!

Smithagain · 16/06/2009 22:16

Tent - Wolf Lake 5 - brand new (subsidised by ILs - we decided if we were going to do this, we were going to do it in style!)
Been - Nowhere yet.
Going - Graffham, Sussex.
Lust after - Birdsong, sunshine, happy, dirty children building dens in the woods ... But mostly sunshine
