Electrical hookups in tents

Hiya,

This might be a really stupid question, but does anyone use an electrical hookup thingie in their tent, and what sort of things can you use with it?

Do you have to use appliances specially made for camping (i.e. with lower power requirements), or could I plug in a normal kettle or whatever?

hello lovely tent ladies, yes it is that time of year again. I am loling at Iwish's george foreman/tv vision.

Peachy I LOVE the Cabanon TTs, but yes they are for proper grown ups.

Lucy, wtf is wrong with an ice block in an eski fgs. You and your chilled rose and camping in the warm taunts, sheesh.

We use ours for our fridge, radio (for surf report obv), recharging the lantern and mobiles and the fan heater.

When we go for a fortnight it makes life so much easier with regard to keeping food chilled, but more importantly I can make ice for my Pimms and keep my wine nicely chilled.

Is anyone else sat here longing for the warmer weather and being under canvas again?
