Hi
Any reccs on a North Norfolk campsite near a quietish beach. Have our own tent. Don’t need hookup. Would prefer nature to activities etc..
Thanks!

These sound amazing!

@sepsisandAKI oh fab! I believe you can get guest passes to Kelling heath too which is just down the road. We LOVE getting the steam train from KH stop to Sheringham. Great experience. Or you can just watch them go by which is also lovely.

sepsisandAKI · 14/07/2020 08:24

@ImFree2doasiwant sounds fab although tricky knowing what is open and how things are working at Kelling Heath. The train line is open so that’s good! Have you been to pleasurewood hills theme park? It’s a bit of a drive from Breck Farm but looks good- you know what kids are like!

Check the current T&Cs for Pleasurewood Hills: open but advance online bookings only, no cash, no Clubcard vouchers.

Everywhere seems really booked up. Waxham Sands had spaces though (think because you can't book online). It was good value and seemed friendly on the phone. Fingers crossed.

TimeWastingButFun · 19/07/2020 09:55

We went to Kelling Heath with our bikes, we loved it.

TimeWastingButFun · 19/07/2020 09:56

And kids and dog, we didn't leave them behind 😂

ImFree2doasiwant · 19/07/2020 13:14

@MrsHSW Ive found that, tried booking next summer for kelling, online, no availability!

OneForMeToo · 19/07/2020 14:44

We are at breck farm this year. Last time we went we managed to nab one of the much sort after electric pitches in the fire field win win. Although we had that heatwave lol

OneForMeToo · 19/07/2020 14:45

Fish and chip van is there Fridays and they will have a weekly menu up soon I believe.

Nacreous · 19/07/2020 14:53

I've stayed at Waxham Sands before, they did seem very keen on the Rules so goodness knows what it's like at the moment, but it always had good-sized pitches and was super close to the beach.

hellololabells2019 · 19/07/2020 22:03

@ImFree2doasiwant - we had to call, they told us they took down their availability dye to the covid situation but there weren't many pitches left a month ago. Good luck!

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 19/07/2020 22:05

Searles is nice in Hunstanton.

ImFree2doasiwant · 19/07/2020 22:07

@Hearhoovesthinkzebras I'm thinking that would be a great call for my first solo expedition. It's really close, and everything you could want or need with small DC. Not to everyone's taste, but I just want to have some easy first attempts!

We went there a lot when our children were younger. It's right on the beach, which is huge so never crowded and the site was really clean (including the toilets and showers which was a priority for me). The club and swimming pool was an added bonus.
