it's dh. he's never even been to a camp site before. he's proving difficult on the tent thing and wants to try it out first. or a tent for rent, even?

wow, all three look great, am bookmarking madly.

now... i'm in glasgow so the glencoe one is nearest, right? i'm more familiar with the geography of italy than jockland, i think. [and yet irritating at the same time]

two hours from glasgow Aitch you lucky thing - it's more like 10 hours from where I live!

AitchTwoOh · 26/04/2007 23:21

it looks lovely, doesn't it? we could stop off there and then go and stay at our pals' hotel on skye. much more dh's sort of thing.

you'd be most welcome btw kbear. except it would take you about three hours to get parked where we live, which might defeat the point somewhat.

Completely irrelevant since there's no indication of vans, but I bet this site is fabulous- Lochranza is so beautiful.

princesscc · 26/04/2007 23:21

You are a nightmare!

BTW should I be worried that dh has just text me to say he got on the wrong train and is on his way to Brighton?

AitchTwoOh · 26/04/2007 23:24

looks lovely, thanks. and i hear brighton is also lovely this time of year, princess.
would it be rude of me to wish this thread dead now as seeing the typo in active convos is crushing my spirit entirely?

leave a key under the mat. Brighton is lovely this time of year.

arse

I'm off to bed, see ya

x-posts kbear, we must read the same tourist info. (or be peddlers of easy gags and dreadful cliche. it's definitely one of the two).

this is a truly beatiful place, and they rent caravans out. it is on loch sween in northern argyll so less than 2 hours away. also you have beautiful (yet easy) coastal walks all around. I love glencoe but it is very mountainous so can feel a bit inaccessible - and there's no sea. i would recommend argyll (or southern scotland) for newbies to scottish holidays

stunning place

AitchTwoOh · 27/04/2007 11:34

vitomum, why do you always answer my posts as if we Haven't Known Each Other For Over Twenty Years? [crackers]

He can practice tent camping in the front garden once we move, Aitch .

Stunning setting across the road from a loch.

AitchTwoOh · 27/04/2007 11:48

are yougoing for it? how fab, we'll be there the day after you. congratulations!

They made us an offer we'd have been mad to refuse, not that it took much goading, anyhow.

We were busting to bail.

Wayhey!

Can't wait to lace up the walking boots or put on the wellies and take the girls out for some air.

You know it's time when you look back fondly to the times you were hillwalking, got caught in a gale pretty high up, and were running in between gusts for treeline.

AitchTwoOh · 27/04/2007 11:59

i have no idea what you just said... are you speaking 'country'?

expatinscotland · 27/04/2007 12:34

I'd rather not say just yet, schneelby, but are you on CAT?

I've got some questions about the area because we've not lived there before and services are going to be very, very different.

schneebly · 27/04/2007 13:32

saltire · 27/04/2007 13:35

scneebly, we are off to the Porstmouth area, DH has got posted there. After 4 years of being back in scotland I'm really unhappy about going, it's getting me down. Well not just the move, lots of things, but i get sad when I think of moving
