Try a little summer camping weekend with some of you experts.

How about a camping meet-up during the school summer holidays in South Wales?(that is the Wales nearer London, isn't it? Geography is not a strong point. )

I'd be up for that. I'd bring the two bigger Bubble Boys and leave the 2 littlies with Mr Bubble.

Any takers?

Well, I'm currently in the States. I hope to be back in the UK long before the summer but I'll be in Yorkshire & it's a loooong way to Gloucestershire . Will keep checking this thread though, just in case

I'm happpy to pay the deposit/fee for a few piches and see who turns up. Can someone give me a link to a 'group-friendly' campsite in the Gloucs. area (fairly central for everyone.)

Any latecomers will need to take their chances and book. Otherwise, if I booked for everyone, the big Bubble Boys and I would probably end up alone in a huge bloomin' field.

Pitches. Showing my camping ignorance already.

Sal. I am more than up for this!

It's made it on to the 'family calendar' already.

I'm pleased to hear that early booking is not essential. But I'm anal/neurotic/obsessed enough to book it two years before we want to go, anyway.

Sal, love, even if it's just you and me and our kids I would be happy, anyway.

Can I join in with my dd please? I'm sure we can make it down to Gloucestershire.

Am ashamed to say that dp only put the camping stuff up in the loft about three weeks ago.

bauble99 · 04/12/2006 14:13

Excellent, Giraffe.

We'll soon be able to make a list of definitely/maybes.

Strawb. It looks fantastic! My boys will love it.

I'd love Mr Bubble to come too, but it'll make more sense for me to leave the two little ones at home.

I am up for this, personally would prefer a w/e TBH as I work full time and am already planning a week in france in teh summer hols, could we do a long w/e. ALso that place looks nice, with 36 pitches no-one is exactly going to be THAT far from anyone else, we can all book separately. Could we try to do a Friday/Sat/Sunday booking?? PLEASE

bauble99 · 13/12/2006 23:27

I am tentless, Sal. Will that be a problem?

Im relying on you for advice in that department, BTW.

borrow one bubble!

PeachyClair · 10/01/2007 20:13

Deffo up for this- any dates except the first week in the summer hols is fine for me.

Anything that works for Sal is OK for me location wise.

Broadway House campsite in Cheddar is fairly central? \link[http://www.broadwayhouse.uk.com/\ here} but happy with the forestry sites Sal suggested- esp. as we get a discoutn in the camping club

And no, that doesn't mean I am organising this thing! No chance

PeachesMcLean · 10/01/2007 23:07

Hello, can I lurk? (if that's not too stalkerish?) I'd love to go somewhere with like minded people (!?) but DH would run a mile at a MN meet up. But if it happened purely "by accident" and DS was happy with other kids to play with, well.... I guess he'd live with it!
