DH snores loudly and after camping one year and going to the loo in the middle of the night and hearing DH across the site Blush he now wearsthese when camping.

Perhaps you could discreetly leave some outside their tent for tomorrow!

We went through a night of this recently. You get to feel so murderous. It was a woman who did all the snoring. She was a big lass too. I had to have very stern words with DP or he would have gone and suggested if she ate less we could all get a good night's sleep!

My plan is this: all campers contribute 50p per head and this pays for the snorer to stay in B&B. sorted.

delilahbelle · 11/08/2013 22:33

We went camping with some of DHs friends once. One snored so loudly it was hell - I didn't get a wink of sleep.
I was v short (although not actually said anything rude) with him the next day. He thought it was funny Angry

We don't camp now. And DH sees that friend without me.

I'm not good without my sleep.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 11/08/2013 22:36

The only real solution is whiskey and plenty of it, for you not them. Knocks you out without challenging your bladder - important while camping.

MummyPigsFatTummy · 11/08/2013 22:41

I am glad you restrained your DH, Cooroo. I am a 'big lass' as you term it, and I would not take at all kindly to some bloke making personal and possibly baseless remarks like that to me when there are men of all shapes and sizes all over camp sites acriss the UK (and the world probably) keeping everyone awake every night.

TheWookiesWife · 11/08/2013 22:45

Hahaha we had friends pop over today who were only near by because they are camping !! I wonder if it was them ! Lol !! That would be so funny !! - am intrigued - how did you solve the problem ?! :-)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 11/08/2013 23:03

I know it's frustrating, but it's really depressing knowing you have a snorer and feeling so bad about it, sending DH to a B&B would ruin our holiday and my DCs love camping above all other types of holiday. He'd be upset if he read this thread. Earplugs are the way to go.

WeAreSeven · 13/08/2013 01:14

We just had this too. But at least the snorer is not doing it on purpose. I had far more of a problem with the group across from us who thought drinking and shouting and belching loudly !! late into the night with their small crying, overtired children who really needed to be just put to bed.

Lovecat · 13/08/2013 11:47

At least be politer than the wankers who left a note under our windscreen wiper saying "stop the fucking snoring or we'll slash your tent and your tires" on a 'naice' site in cornwall a few yrs ago Shock

It's not like it's done on purpose - earplugs are the way.

MummyPigsFatTummy · 13/08/2013 12:24

Yep - ear plugs definitely the way to go. To be honest, I don't know how people camp without them. Never mind snorers, I couldn't sleep through all the babies crying, late-nighters chatting and singing, early risers talking and shouting at their children...etc etc.

With earplugs, I get a blissful night (more or less) regardless what is happening outside. Grin

Lovecat Shock. What a dreadful note! And how exactly did they expect you to 'stop the fucking snoring'? Other than sew a tennis ball into your pyjamas I guess?
