Pretend to be a bear.

dontputaringonit · 10/08/2013 00:21

Roll them onto their sides.

TeaAndSconesTwice · 10/08/2013 00:24

Throw something at there tent Grin

K8Middleton · 10/08/2013 00:32

Sew a tennis ball into the back of each of their pyjama tops.

Cheeseatmidnight · 10/08/2013 00:35

Cough loudly to wake them from deep sleep... Repeat.... Repeat.... Repeat....

antimatter · 10/08/2013 00:36

whistle Grin

BrianTheMole · 10/08/2013 00:43

Unzip their tent quietly, throw a pan of water over them, run back to your tent faster than the wind, get in your sleeping bag and pretend to be asleep. When the shouting dies down, report back here.

Grumpla · 10/08/2013 00:44

The only passive aggressive way of dealing with this WITHOUT breaching campsite etiquette is to go to the loo without a torch and accidentally trip over their guy ropes a few times.

Grumpla · 10/08/2013 00:45

Personally I'd commando-crawl to head level and bellow "Stop snoring or DIE, FUCKERS!!!" at top volume.

BrianTheMole · 10/08/2013 00:52

Oh, without breaching campsite etiquette, hmm. Well, go and knock on their tent, say I'm ever so sorry but your snoring is keeping me awake. And offer them a clothes peg to put on their noses. Would that work? Or maybe some tape for their mouths.

Move your tent.

The other alternative is be thankful you don't live with them and go back home Grin

MariaLuna · 10/08/2013 02:13

P.s. It's why I prefer to "camp" out at home in my own bed... luckily I can go out the front door for some fresh air.

I hate camping - unless it's in a game park in Kenya ;-)

theonewiththenoisychild · 10/08/2013 08:24

i would be looking for somewhere that sells ear plugs this morning

CitrusyOne · 10/08/2013 08:27

I'm interested to know how you 'knock' on a tent [😏]

shockers · 10/08/2013 08:32

You mime the knocking action whilst shouting, "Knock knock!"

VivaLeBeaver · 10/08/2013 08:32

Cut their guy ropes with a knife so they have to go home.

lostinindia · 10/08/2013 08:35

Poke their tent with a long stick.

shockers · 10/08/2013 08:36

You aren't camping in the NW are you?

It could be us.....

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 10/08/2013 08:39

Be grateful it's only while you're camping and don't have to live with it. My DH is a very loud snorer and I am very self conscious of it when we go camping, in fact we go less often now partly because of it, having had a snotty comment from someone once, but that makes me so sad, we all love our camping.

IrisWildthyme · 10/08/2013 08:41

Never go camping without earplugs. Unless camping alone in the wilderness far from all other sources of sound.

AnneUulmelmahay · 10/08/2013 08:44

Whoknows, do encourage your DH to talk to his GP about the v loud snoring, it can sometimes indicate underlying health issues. x

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 10/08/2013 08:46

He's done all that thanks Anne - no sleep apnoea, just a bit overweight and comes from a family of very loud snorers.

Flossiechops · 11/08/2013 13:15

Completely agree with iris earplugs are the only way. Boots do ones called muffles and they are made of wax. Swear to god you don't hear a thing!
