Brilliant site, on the edge of Weybourne - Foxhills. It's lovely.

Really Gibber ? I've been going to MH at least twice a year for the last 15 years plus we had our wedding reception there and I always found it to be very very good.

Maybe we could offer to do a MN tasting session? Wink

If you are going to New Street in Cromer OP, you can buy crabs/lobster from an old fishing family (John Lee) who sells freshly caught ones from the front of his mums cottage there.

These are great recommendations Grin thanks everyone.

Ooh another Ronaldo's fan here! Best ice-cream in the UK. We loved Sheringham Park (National trust) too - lovely views of the railway/windmill. Very jealous....

onepieceoflollipop · 30/07/2013 20:39

Been to Sea Palling 4 or 5 holidays. Love it.

CaveyLovesPendleton · 31/07/2013 11:49

Adding Sea Palling to the list

Adding to the Ronaldos recommendations, you can't visit
Sheringham without trying it so many amazing flavours we are working out way through them all! Look out for their lovely ice cream barrows all over Norfolk.

Blu · 02/08/2013 18:24

Ooh, how exciting! I missed your post as I was in Forrin. Are you still in Norfolk?

GibberTheMonkey · 02/08/2013 18:24

Had some cracking thunderstorms. Hope your tent held up

hellhasnofurylikeahungrywoman · 02/08/2013 18:30

Brancaster has a lovely sandy beach. If you go onto the beach, walk to the left and down to the creek you'll often see seals.

onepieceoflollipop · 02/08/2013 20:26

A baby seal came and swam alongside dd1 last year at Sea Palling -true story:)

Blu · 02/08/2013 22:42

I love Ronaldo's Gooseberry Ice cream, and the plum.

DS was stung by a weever fish at Sea Palling. Great beach though.

My favourite beach is Wells, I think. The walk through the pine woods, the view from the top of the steps, the huts. We walk through the nature reserve from the car park and then onto the beach at the last set of steps. The pinewoods are fabulous for playing in.

Is Foxhills the very small site that allows naturism?

Blu · 02/08/2013 22:50

Sea Palling is a bit of a trek from Weybourne though.

Wells has dunes, miles of sand, pinewoods etc.

West Runton has sand at low tide, and rock pools and the possibility of fossils.

When the tides are just right and the Morston ferries go twice on the day, morning and eve, you can go to Blakeney Point and get dropped off there in the morning and then back in the evening, and spend all day on the point. But you need to take all food and drink. But the point is magical at low tide and on the far, (sea), side where the channel meets the sea seals will swim with you all day.

CaveyLovesPendleton · 03/08/2013 10:53

Still in Norfolk Grin still loving it, despite missing the last train back from Holt yesterday.
Burnt to a crisp on Wells beach on Thursday. But came home with lots of lovely cider to dull the pain.

Ahem, no naturism that I am aware of. I hope not to see any naked folks. It's the teeny site next door to the tanks. Lovely spot. We may already be booking for next year. I have eaten my own body weight in fresh crab.

Sadly our awning has been crushed by the rain but we have cobbled together a repair. Glorious again today Grin

I had Ronaldo gooseberry ice cream today without having read thread. Best. Ice cream. Ever.

Wells pretty awful as we accidentally arrived on carnival day and never got to beach. Plus I got shouted at by miserable mardy cow for trying to turn car with one tyre over into her drive.

But Holt is lovely.

GibberTheMonkey · 03/08/2013 18:51

Holt is heaving full of fuckwits who just step out without looking
Then they glare at you

needasilverlining · 03/08/2013 19:01

Holiday = OK to walk in street, right? Ahem.

If a family with two small boys on scooters were among the offenders I apologize. Although I would have done at the time rather than glaring, honest.

GibberTheMonkey · 03/08/2013 19:24

Don't worry it's just me being grumpy

needasilverlining · 03/08/2013 19:30

I'm still fuming about grumpy driveway bitch. Who spends lovely afternoon in Wells lurking by window to spot and berate complete strangers? Grrrargh.

hugoagogo · 03/08/2013 19:38

Mundesley and Overstrand are lovely sandy beaches too and closer than Sea palling (which is admittedly fab along with Waxham and Happisburgh you are spoilt for choice)

Well I went arse over tit in Galston's fish and chip place, yesterday.

OP posts:
Blu · 05/08/2013 17:15

Where is Galston's?

I'm off up to Norfolk next weekend.
