ASDA Trail Gazebo - I am in heaven

Take a look at this:

direct.asda.com/Ozark-Trail-Gazebo/000939831,default,pd.html

It folds up small (apparently) and gets great reviews. And it's only £25 (today at least). What is not to like? My no-more-camping-gear resolve lasted no longer than it took to find my credit card.

Perfect for those camps where our event shelter just will not fit in the car (and probably those where it will too)....

That looks fab! Might have to invest ... How small does it pack away? Space is at a premium in our already overstuffed boot/trailer... BlushGrin

MummyPigsFatTummy · 14/06/2012 17:23

Not sure - that is a massive issue for me too. The reviews suggest quite small though. I should get it in the next few days so will report back....

I might get it anyway. We're off to France in 5 weeks and I'm petrified it'll be raining non-stop, last year was a wash out for the 4 weeks before we arrived. Thank goodness it was fine while we were there Smile

AngelsWithSilverWings · 14/06/2012 19:26

Oh dear MummyPig - I clicked on the link and the next minute I had got my credit card out and bought it Grin.

I've been banned from buying anymore equipment after last week's purchases of camping cupboard, fire pit with folding legs and sun porch.

Will have to hide this when it arrives!

Migsy1 · 14/06/2012 20:04

Oh dear MummyPig - I clicked on the link and the next minute I had got my credit card out and bought it .

Whoops - me too! Grin

MummyPigsFatTummy · 15/06/2012 00:52

Ha ha - glad i am not the only one with no control over my credit card. It just looks so essential though - I can't imagine how I have managed without one for so long.... Grin

I've ordered one tooBlush

Looks perfect to act as a porch for our new pop up tent! I'm meant to be downsizing, not buying more stuff

Bargain price though!

weblette · 15/06/2012 20:18

Having looked at the prices of other gazebos it looks a bargain and shouldn't be too much of a faff to put up.

Reader, I bought one... Grin

Desperatelyseekingsupport · 15/06/2012 20:55

Showed dh - credit card out - ordered Grin

AllOverIt · 15/06/2012 21:00

I'm waiting for feedback from you lot! Purleeeeese report back and let me know how small it packs down. DH won't let me get it unless it's small Sad (I've bought too much camping shit over the last two months Grin)

YellowDinosaur · 18/06/2012 07:52

I saw it in asda yesterday. It is pretty small - didn't measure it but it was smaller than I was expecting and it nearly went in my trolley!

AllOverIt · 18/06/2012 09:27

Oooo that sounds promising... Might sneak one on the credit card and see if DH notices... Wink

MummyPigsFatTummy · 18/06/2012 10:21

Ours is on its way. I will measure the bag when it arrives and report back.

Can't wait!

Migsy1 · 18/06/2012 14:52

Mine has arrived! I will put it up later and the parcel is satisfyingly small :)

MummyPigsFatTummy · 18/06/2012 15:56

Ours has too Migsy - hurrah! V efficient delivery - I am impressed. Although I doubt I will get to put it up later so will be interested to hear what you think of it, quality-wise etc.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 18/06/2012 17:33

Mine arrived today too. Lovely and small.

Measurements of bag :

Length 19 inches/ 49cm long

Height and width Approx 8 inches/ 20 cm

V rough measurement and may squash smaller. It's great and will fit easily on our parcel shelf.

AngelsWithSilverWings · 18/06/2012 17:34

Of course the real test in how big is it when you pack it back yourself!

Mum2Fergus · 18/06/2012 21:25

Read the fab reviews of this and couldnt resist, delivery in a few days Smile

MummyPigsFatTummy · 19/06/2012 10:05

Migsy, did you put yours up last night in the end? We didn't have a chance but the instructions make it look pretty easy. I was wondering what it was like in real life?

I cannot believe how small the package is though - hurrah for new teeny weeny gazebo option.

Migsy1 · 19/06/2012 10:55

MummyPigs As usual, I didn't get time [no comment] Perhaps I'll do it later and will post on here about it when I do.

weblette · 19/06/2012 15:42

Well it's here and it's up! Much bigger than
I was expecting. It isn't the sturdiest construction ever but when it's pegged up and guy-ed out it'll be fine.

One very happy customer!Grin

MummyPigsFatTummy · 19/06/2012 15:51

Oooh excellent Weblette. Just what I was hoping to hear. I might get mine up tomorrow with a bit of luck - can't wait.... Grin

OP posts:
AllOverIt · 19/06/2012 19:48

Oo I'm so pleased it's teeny tiny when packed up. Think I saw one up at a rugby event thing the other day. Looked massive! Might purchase one while DH is distracted by the football Wink

flubba · 19/06/2012 19:58

I'm being thick - why would you sit in it if you have a tent? Help me understand because I feel I need one but would have to justify it :o Blush

thisisyesterday · 19/06/2012 20:14

i almost bought one in asda yesterday too when i saw how small they were (having seen them linked on another thread on here)

but not entirely sure we "need" one.... dp is worried it would blow away if it was a bit windy?
