So where are we all off to this sunny weekend?

I made my booking last week as I had seen the forecast improving - I hope it doesn't revert to cold and wet!

Oooh, that sounds nice! We are heading into rural Kent, so not close to a beach. Just keeping the Friday night drive to a minimum.

We are off to the Lake District - Lake Coniston, our fave site, can't wait - going straight after school pickup.

OK, I am glad to be going to Spain this w/e but I really prefer going to a warm country when it is pissing it down here!

We are off to Woolacombe! It's our first trip and luckily it's only a few miles down the road from where we live. We've already been and checked out the toilets and picked out a pitch!

first trip of the year for us too. very excited. ds and i both had some nasty virus this week so not at organised as i'd like have been, but trying to drop standards and just go. also, excitingly, have my double pie iron to use for the first time. and moonchair courtesy of tesco club card exchange.

Ooh, Tyaca, I definitely wnat a report back on your pie iron! I haven't got round to ordering one...and am trying to keep my spending on camping realistic, especially after the Icey Tek extravagance. Also, I can't decide whether to get the sort that seals the edges or one of the ones that could also be used for burgers....

Nipping down the road to Edwinstowe - nice site and a weekend booking lasts until 7pm Sunday which is bloody brilliant.

Isn't it fab Blu? I just wish more sites would do it tbh. Weekend bookings at this site are from midday Friday to 7pm Sunday.

Semi-wild camping on a mate's Dad's laaaaaaaaaand in N Wales with three other families. Cannot wait. They have a river and everything. Campfires, stargazing, champers and my brand new portable loo (bucket with seat and a lid ).

Nowhere. Sob sob. I can't complain too much though we're off to France on Friday YIPEEEE (now checking weather 3x a day having researched trip to death) and we live less than half a mile from from the beach so we'll be off there later to enjoy the sunshine. hope everyone has a fab weekend - it's been a long wait for camping weather this year.

We are off to Newgale camp site, Haverfordwest, Pembrookshire. Watching the weather site closely.... Tuesday's pictures showed a great ball of yellow with a smidgen of cloud for 10 days... today it's all changed to cloud with droplets of rain for most of the weekend. And the temperature is dropping too.
