I made my booking last week as I had seen the forecast improving - I hope it doesn't revert to cold and wet!

Cavey... it looks beautiful eh! and there is a boat trip to Skomer to see the pufifns, bit pricey though at £20 an adult and £10 per child.

The site is literally across the road to the beach.... so plenty of buckets n spades ;-) and BBQ's of course!!!

Cavey, we're staying in the Dordogne for a week and having a few overnight stops on the way there and back from Calais.

The weather looks...changeable...so I've stopped looking at the forecasts.

We are off to Town Farm campsite in the Chilton hills in Ivinghoe. Stunning scenery and fantastic walks. Can't wait...am really hoping the weather holds out!

Quenelle · 31/05/2012 14:10

2nomore we've been planning to try that site for ages. Have you been before?

oldteacher · 31/05/2012 14:55

Fisherground then Quiet site for us. Had a mad sorting and packing session this morning, excited but already tired at the thought of packing, driving and pitching camp. Got to work as well tonight too.

Quenelle, we went to Town farm last weekend in the heat was great but you need a windbreak and something for shade as no shade on site...but its a favourite

We are off to here for the week............ the weather will be lovely Grin

We went camping wild on Dartmoor last weekend, which was great, hot and sunny and we swam in the river. And this coming weekend we're going camping again, but with more warm clothes and wellies this time, I think. The forecast doesn't look too bad in Devon.

2shoes, I saw Town Farm from the road when we drove past on Easter Monday. It was wet and windy that day and it did look very exposed. Will definitely give it a try when the weather looks good. Hope you have a great time.

Whoops sorry 3rdnparty, thought I was replying to 2nomore and still got the name wrong Blush

Littletyga - Yes I know St Marks park very well. I don't think the water bit is on yet and it looks like it needs fixing up in certain areas too. NOt sure if there are restrictions because of the hose pipe ban though.

MegBusset · 01/06/2012 16:38

We are off to Kelling Heath (Norfolk), weather looks ok for tomorrow (dry at least) but 10 degrees and rainy for Sunday sigh

hillbilly · 01/06/2012 21:41

MegBusset - we will be next door to your at Breck Farm (only cos Kelling Heath don't allow campfires! going Sunday morning (wet) till Wednesday. In fact going to hire bikes from KH.

Hope you all have a great weekSmile

MegBusset · 01/06/2012 22:50

We are only going for two nights as when we booked at Xmas that was all they had left, Looking at the weather forecast I think that will be plenty though!

bumpybecky · 02/06/2012 00:14

Ivinghoe is about 5 miles from here :) never been to the site though!

we're off to the Isle of Wight for 6 night starting Sunday. We've been to PIL tonight and retrieved all the camping gear from their loft. Just need to pack properly now
