...to the old Wynnster Raven 6?

We've got a single bedroom Wynnster Faro 5 which is brilliant, but I'm thinking forward to a time soon when the 2 dc could have a little space of his own and dh and I a little more privacy Grin.

I've found the ideal layout in the Wynnster Raven 6 but it's an old model.

Does anyone know of a tent with a similar layout?

mm I think both Coleman and Vango are doing tents with a similar lay out.

and another one I stood in a few weeks ago.

But that is not very helpful. I need to think

Ah ha!

Similar ish to what you want

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 18:41

Vango Astoria 600

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 18:43

Or this GIANT tent

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 18:46

and this Eurohike

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 18:47

We have a Bear Lake 6 with separate sleeping compartments but they are next to each other - I'm thinking you want opposite ends of the tent??

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 18:49

This one has the coolest name ever Grin

FuntimeFelicity · 27/04/2012 18:55

Thanks for those Smile.

It's the 3 room thing that I'm most interested in. The only 6 berth, 3 room ones I can find are 2-2-2. I liked the look of 3-2-1 because dh and I could have the 3 berth bit, ds1 and ds2 could have the 2 berth bit and the 1 berth bit would be handy for bags.

Holy Bogging Nora. Zempire Mothership Tent. Now that is a Mo-Fo tent if I ever saw one.

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 19:06

Do you not fancy a pod tent then? Loads of those have the three room thing going on.

This Vango for example has a four berth and two two berth pods.

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 19:08

This one is flexible - offers a sleeping berth that can convert to storage.

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 19:13

Go large!

Or the Vango Astoria 800 instead of 600

Let's face it, you can never have too much room in a tent! We have a 6 man for a family of three and it's just right! Grin

IAmSherlocked · 27/04/2012 19:15

Wow! Pitching time - 6 minutes, and WTF are 'inflatable beams'???

nottersisnotmargo · 27/04/2012 19:18

My Vango Icarus is lovely, Felicity. If Only I could show it to you ..... Grin

nottersisnotmargo · 27/04/2012 19:19

That Airbeam is my dream tent. But I ain't spending £800 on one ....

FuntimeFelicity · 27/04/2012 19:46

Hmm, I think that an 8 berth is a little big for our needs and Shock at the Mothership behemoth Grin!

Maybe something simple like the Icarus 600 is the way to go then Hmm.

I have a Vango 500 with a canopy. Let's chat Wink

FuntimeFelicity · 27/04/2012 20:11

Is it 2 separate sleeping compartments in the Icarus?

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 27/04/2012 20:23

How about the kampa Filey 6?

www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/p/Kampa-Filey-6/1016

nottersisnotmargo · 27/04/2012 20:24

Yes. I put the Ds's in one pod, store all our stuff in the other pod, then me and DH sleep in the living area (through choice) Wink

The canopy is then a huge living space.

If you are ever on the same site as me, you are welcome to come and look. Grin

FuntimeFelicity · 27/04/2012 20:37

The Filey looks great but probably a bit big. We currently camp out of the boot of Ford Focus Grin.

That's kind Notters Grin.
