Decent site, Jubilee Weekend, any chance?

Please help! I know I've left it too late but we want to camp over the Jubilee weekend, I don't have anything booked yet and everywhere seems to be full!

We'll go anywhere in the East of the country, has anyone had any joy getting a place anywhere in the last couple of weeks, let me know if so and I'll give them a try.

TIA

You could try www.breckfarm.co.uk or this place. I've been to both and they are both decent places. They are also both in Norfolk. Another fabulous place is in Suffolk - will PM you if you're interested as I'd rather keep it to myself, it was so good!

Wow - I am surprised - did I see something about a world record attempt at camping that weekend or something? (might have dreamt it, mind you). If anywhere else springs to mind I'll post on here.

Have you tried Kelling Heath and Waxham Sands? They're both supposed to be good, although I haven't been. Also Dower House at Thetford (is good, have been) and Applewood (check name) at Banham Zoo.

Have a look on CampsiteUK, check by the map search, and then lots of them have an availability checker.

Some east england sites I have on my list to visit are Suffolk http://www.operaintheorchard.co.uk/camping.html Essex on a fabulous clifftop overlooking a beach in Suffolk Woodbridge / Aldeburgh area Sufffolk

People regularly recoomend sites on the n Norfolk coast and round the Broads - search the camping board!

It was always going to be a v popular week, but you'll find somewhere!

If Suffolk is ok for you, maybe try here:

www.high-house.co.uk/holidays.html

It is tiny and doesn't have showers (which might put people off for a long weekend - but you could always go to a sports centre for showers) but is otherwise lovely and in a great area and, you never know, it might have space. We really liked it.

Willowcroft in Norfolk had spaces left about 10 days ago - we are going there Mon-Fri of that week.

Have you tried pitchup.com - You can search for your dates and they do online booking - they have a couple of places in Essex/Cambridgeshire/East Anglia showing availability that weekend.
