Centerparcs too pricey - hate tents - what else?

Well that's it really. We've been to centerparcs a few times but we always end up spending too much money and it gets a bit ... tired.

What else is there for a young family? Pontins?!

We have stayed in really nice static caravans before and made our own entertainment, gone to Dorset went to Monkey World, Swanage Steam Railway, beach, Portland stuff like that. Far nicer than CPs if you ask me!

I always get very nervous when I recommend somewhere! I've never taken anyone there though that hasn't like it. The 2 bed villas are nice, but I think the 3 bed ones are nicer, if you can afford to pay the bit extra, and if you have an upstairs lounge they have really lovely views.

It's only a very short drive to the beach at Polzeath. If you're into walking, Daymer Bay is walkable, and you can walk a bit further round to Rock and then get the ferry to Padstow. You can cycle the Camel Trail too. Port Isaac (Doc Martin) is just up the road.

I love it round there and I'm just wondering why we've booked to go to Polperro at Easter!

MP we always go around that area, I have driven past that St Moritz place. We stay in a campsite on teh B3314 (see the map of where villas are) It is a great area, and the beaches aren't far. Daymer bay is where we usually go, but you have Polzeth there too. I am jealous When are you thinking of going?

There are some good value cottages at the cottages4you website, some below £500 in mid August.
