so I am fed up with the rest of MN (this whole mamazon shite really is the ,last straw), so I am assuming that if any of you are trolling you are showing extraordinary persistence by delving into the thrills of iceytec and are worth chatting to.

So anyway, hi, I am SeaShells, I have 2 dc and have been camping and trapsing through the Great Outdoors all my life. I hang out here as my love of camping is more a love of the countryside and life, and you lot have a similar outlook.

MisSal come on over, my friend has a horse if that will do, and all the children speak Welsh for that not understanding the locals feel. and after all the time in the sun at the moment I do a pretty good impression of a wizened old woman. One group of our friends were BBQing mackerel and lobster caught today when we were coming home. Just about makes up for the 9 months of the year it is raining and there is fuck all else to do!

lostinwales - the whole friend with a horse/bbqing lobster and mackerel does sound rather great.

Well, can officially join the group now. My mum has bought me a tent, a vango juno 500 but at £30 had to be done. I know it's not the most amazing tent in the world but it's a start....I'm quite excited.

Ahhh, but lost, what an amazing 3 months it sounds like! Hmm, my boss did say she wouldn't mind if I wanted to work from home occasionally - wonder if 3 months out of 12 are occasional enough.

Yay scaryt, first tent is an Important Moment have I am not doing sober Sunday very well today as we barbecued tea (leg of lamb, the only way to cook it) and everyone knows you can't barbecue without a drink.

I would invite you all down for a meet up as days like today I would challenge most places on earth for it's perfection but a) I'm never sure when the field will be open, which could be a bit disappointing and b) when it is windy and cold (which it is more often than it's like today) it's foul! But for about 10 days of the year it is the best place in the world to be!

I'm into the power of positive thinking. If we all join forces with our thoughts we will have an amazing camp there lostinwales!

If you're in Pembrokeshire lost, I might have to come and stamp on your tent!

we are here miles away from civilization and much better for it! Or there's here which is a properly open campsite but it's a mile away from the beach.

Might have get working on dh, as he reckons the scars of sharing a car with 2 small children from Wrexham to St Davids last summer are still too fresh .

Ooh, Lost, I know Poppitt Sands! Have spent more time on Mwnt though, close by. Beautiful beach, Mwnt, never at all busy despite having parking and amazing scenery.

I don't know that area as I always go to Cornwall .... that looks stunning!

I know that area lostinwales :) stunningly beautiful (but you are right, it's incredibly wet a lot of the time!!) I used to spend lots of time more fish guard way though-the whole west coast is gorgeous :)

Morning. You'll all be very jealous. Me and DD are packing our camping stuff up this morning ready for the off tomorrow. I had a quick look in our cellar for the gaz burner thing, but can't find it. Hopefully the site we stay on will have a cafe. Can't do anything without coffee.
DD is very excited and thinks she will see some dolphins and whales. When she was a toddler we camped on the sea shore in Oman. She and I were up early and I pointed out a load of dolphins jumping around in the water. Then a whale did that breaching thing. I was very excited and shouted look, she did look and just said 'car'. Our car was very big, but not whale sized.

I've only just found this thread and think I may have done my last camping holiday of the year
