Ah, you know what, I've now had two glasses of nice wine and is in a generous mood. I will, therefore, grant you some sunshine. But only because I'm nice, you know, not because SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes (don't want to shorten yet as feels a bit, well, rude, but for heaven's sake, offer it now, will you?? Wink ) is freaking me out with her wild hippy ways, of course.

Oh, and needanewname, I know you say that lovingly.

Take wine and marshmallows in case I turn evil again. I'm fickle like that.

MisSalLaneous · 26/05/2011 20:58

am, not is. Cannot speak English anymore, apparently.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 26/05/2011 20:58

come over to the weather section and I'll give a couple of free guesses forecasts if you like but don't hate me if I'm wrong!

hillbilly · 26/05/2011 21:03

We have bottled out and now plan to go next weekend. We were supposed to be going to Shropshire and the forecast is crap!

Rivvy · 26/05/2011 21:05

hey Harry we're going to the Gower too. Wetsuit weather till Wednesday then hot is my husbands prediction!! Where are you going?

StarlightMcKenzie · 26/05/2011 21:08

We're going too. But you know what, I used to camp this BH as a kid and I don't remember a single time when it didn't lash it down.

I got a 4yr old and a 2yr old

However, we don't have waterproofs or wellies. Are they really necessary? I've never used them in my life and haven't really started on them with my kids.

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 26/05/2011 21:12

Sal please call me Seashells! I've been variations of that for yonks :)

Anyway, I'm sat on my sofa; warm, comfortable, watching Good Morning Vietnam with wine, and reeeeeeeeeally don't fancy a cold
Wet Friday night with sleepless kids!

JemimaMop · 26/05/2011 21:13

I am in Wales already, and believe me it is VERY wet and windy!

We are heading east to the Forest of Dean. We don't do EHU. I am packing waterproofs, wellies, fleeces, extra sleeping bags... We camped in North Wales at Easter and it was fine, just a bit chilly at night. I am pretty sure that it is colder now though. Luckily the kids are pretty resilient and will play out in all weathers, but I relying on copious amounts of wine to get me through.

FlubbaBubba · 26/05/2011 21:14

Boo hilly Envy

Well car boat is packed - just need to add toothbrushes and suncream in the mornig - oh and the tiny people, and we're off :o

MisSalLaneous · 26/05/2011 21:18

Thanks Seashells. Love your evening entertainment, btw. :)

hillbilly · 26/05/2011 21:28

I know it's shameful but we're fairweather campers! And next week is supposed to be better.

hpsaucy · 26/05/2011 21:31

We off to Cromer but not going till Monday (DH had to work this weekend) but least the weather looks better next week

sphil · 26/05/2011 22:22

We're going to Hartland Point. On the very edge of the Atlantic. This was DH's idea. i can hear the night time flap flap flapping of the canvas now...

needanewname · 26/05/2011 22:31

But surely the beauty of canvas is that it doesn;t go flap, flap, flap!!!

dobby2001 · 26/05/2011 22:32

Well this is were i have a smug DH as in 2009 we went for our first saty in a yurt, complete with comfy double bed and wood burner. I love camping in my tent and have all my kit sitting on top of the wardrobe in the bedroom crying to be used but her now refuses to camp any other way except in the yurt.

So we are yurting this weekend and considering the forecast i hate to admit it, but i am grateful Blush

needanewname · 26/05/2011 22:32

You're right Sal - I do!
