The Sunncamp one folds in half lengthways so packs very small.

NormanTheForeman · 22/02/2011 23:22

The Thermos flask is ace, Mollie! Plenty of room fo lots of tea!

But sorry, I only have Playmocamping tips.....

AitchTwoOh · 22/02/2011 23:26

oh right yes, sorry. [dense] was forgetting the numbers. i know the sunncamps fold down the middle, but was actually thinking that thinner and longer might be more stick-in-able to odd places in the car.

MisSalLaneous · 22/02/2011 23:31

This conversation is bizarre. Grin

CaptainNancy · 23/02/2011 00:01

Norman- we have this one - it's fantastic... though for some reason, only the bear is allowed to sleep in the tent Hmm

Blame my 2yo for that...

thisisyesterday · 23/02/2011 16:28

only the bear can go in the tent because that's what it says in the picture! see!
ds1 is like that. all toys must be set out exactly as they are in the picture on the box lol

i am NOT that fat i'll have you know Grin

But I do like to spread about a bit. I felt like if I rolled over I'd fall off it

thisisyesterday · 23/02/2011 16:30

this one is 63cm wide,. which would be much better I think. and only £1 more than the vango from caseys

thisisyesterday · 24/02/2011 19:18

hey.... dutch oven pizza!

MisSalLaneous · 24/02/2011 20:21

Oooh thisisyesterday, that looks lovely!

Lovecat · 26/02/2011 10:18

After your advice, I didn't buy the Tesco mats, however our local one was doing foil-backed foam mats at a silly bargain price so I got 3 of them to go under our existing airbeds.

Now... please nice ladies, I have a question of such stupendous ignorance that you will all point and laugh at me for decades to come...Blush

Which side of a foil-backed mat goes on the floor?

Yes, I know logically it should be the foil side (it's in the name, after all...) but is the point of them not to reflect your heat back up at you and therefore you should lie on the foiled side? Given that I ran screaming from anything resembling physics over 30 years ago, I'm really not sure about this!

Or is the way that it works that it reflects the cold from the ground away from you?

I have a follow on question but I'm going to start a new thread for that :)

AitchTwoOh · 26/02/2011 22:47

i would put it down on the foil side HOWEVER i am the same person who thought that i would use the non-slip side of my mats the wrong way round so please do not listen to a word i say.

ordered the sims from caseys today, i must say, slub, both members of staff i spoke to there were absolutely charming. i spoke to craig the other day then completely forgot about dealing with it, phoned this morning on the off-chance and he''d put them under the counter for me to keep them safe. isn't that kind? plus i got the ex-demo one for £12 which is great. thanks for the reco, i will be bookmarking them.

Lovecat · 28/02/2011 11:37

Just popping back to say - Aitch, I used your link to buy a book and, rather fittingly in the context of where I found your link, a camping toilet (the camping aspect rather than the toilet one, I hasten to add...) so you should see some cash coming to you soon - let me know if it doesn't work :)

AitchTwoOh · 28/02/2011 12:54

that's really kind, and much appreciated. it's one of those things with a labour of love, isn't it? when the shit hits the fan, some money is actually requ'd to keep it going. thanks.
