Cambridge Day 2

Wondered if anyone is just starting the Cambridge 1:1?

I’ve got 4.5 stone to lose to get back to my pre-baby weight. My baby is nearly 6 years old 😂

I’m on step 1b (4 products a day). Really enjoying it so far.

I’ve hidden my scales and will just do weigh ins with my consultant once a week. I’ve also bought a 2 litre water bottle.

Taking it 1 day at a time 😊

End of day 3 here. I’m so hungry and all I can think about is food but I’m feeling upbeat and happy that I’m making a positive change.

PercyPea · 23/04/2024 08:23

Hi @Kbear90 @Moonsapien how are you getting on?

Remember starting is the hardest part!! I kept telling myself that I’m never starting again if that makes sense.

This really is the most magical plan, as the steps working back up to eating real food (and portion management for me!!) should hopefully help keep me on track and not spiral back into binging I used to do 🤦🏼‍♀️

SW 14st 1lb
CW 10st 12lb
GW 9st 7lb
[secret goal weight 9st 😂]

16 weeks on plan and I feel amazing. Lighter, brighter and the compliments are the best part of any day. I’m no longer invisible. So much more energy for running about chasing my young DC.

Keep going!! You can do this for you 🌷

That sounds so positive, it’s lovely to read. I’m feeling good about it all just now. I’m so hungry and I think about food non-stop, but I’m managing to stick to 3 products and a 200 calorie meal.

Moonsapien · 23/04/2024 12:19

When I did it before, I worked up through the steps and it worked well for me. I genuinely found it easy to say no to ice cream/chocolate/cakes. I didn’t want it. Then after a while, I started occasionally saying yes to those things and it all went downhill from there!

Kbear90 · 23/04/2024 16:36

@PercyPea @Moonsapien
Hi both, well done @PercyPea you've done amazingly well and sounds like thats continuing for you which is what it's all about. I assume most go to this plan to regain some control and confidence 🙋‍♀️ and sounds like you've done just that! So the goals will follow 🫶

@Moonsapien could not agree more about the hunger part, and if anything when the hunger eased the cravings for anything and everything really hit hard, which sounds crazy but makes me think I maybe I had a few more issues with food than I realised! Binging and eating all the left overs, eating late at night and eating until I feel ill. I didn't get to an unhappy weight overnight so won't be an overnight fix for me either but I keep telling myself mini goals, each day is a day further forward and I felt rubbish even by day 9 but I'm at day 15 and everything feels much more balanced, my week 1 loss was -9lbs, week 2 weigh in today -4lbs and I may slow for week 3 but 13lbs in 2 weeks is lighter than I was and I'm 4 products step1b, I could no way do 3 products I think I'd faint on a school run, or something embarrassing.

Keep going everyone, we've got this!

Xx

Cambridge day 121 😂

Wow time has flown by!! Feeling great. Didn’t weigh in this week, but happy with non-scale victory of fitting a size 10 pair of jeans 🎉🥳😊

How is everyone else getting on?

I need to start thinking about cooking for myself soon. On step 2 and still only eating products. I like 2 of the “step up” meals and sticking to those for dinner each day. Haven’t yet cooked for myself since 2 January!! So that’s a challenge…need to research some meal plans so I’m meeting calorie count each day!!

@PercyPea time does fly!

Congrats that's really nice to hear! And that great that your fitting comfortably in your size 10 🙌👏 amazing!

Perhaps if you want to start making your own meals and stay in a healthy eating / low carb perhaps the Joe Wicks lean in 15 sustain plan... quick meals not a crazy amount of prep or ingredients...

I'm day 24 of step 1b, my weigh in tues at week 3 total of 1st 2lbs loss!
SW 12st 3.5lbs
CW 11st 1lb (on Tues 30th Apri) so couple days ago.

I've stuck religiously to the plan, I don't drink alcohol etc. However tonight, by choice as its my birthday 🤫😅 I had a chicken burger at home with some cubed potatoes with seasoning, and I feel the fullest I ever have but enjoyed the freedom to say one meal and that's me back to plan in the morning. I had 2 of my 4 products today and then my eve meal.

PercyPea · 02/05/2024 20:48

Happy birthday @Kbear90 🎉🥳

Your special dinner sounds amazing!! You’ve had an amazing result in a short time. Well done 👏

Wonder if I’ve got that Joe Wicks cook book. I know I’ve got some of them. Thanks for the suggestion!

Day 154, still here 😊

I’ve been more in maintenance phase recently. Eating the same evening meal as DH and DCs now, perhaps less carbs than they eat, but far more sociable. We eat out once or twice a week and I’ve been making fairly sensible choices.

SW 14st 1lb
CW 10st 8lbs
GW 9st 7lb

Weight loss massively slowed down. Unsurprisingly 😂 But at least it’s in the right direction.

I’m stepping back down to step 2 from tomorrow, as I’ve got a big event in July and need to lose the final stone 🤞

How is everyone else doing? @JoeyBK @Kbear90 @Londonnight @Mintyt @Moonsapien @PriOn1 @Sunshineandrainbow @Zanatdy @clpsmum @smarty4 @snowlady4

Wow, you are doing really well!

I lost half a stone then lost all motivation! The half stone has stayed off so far but I would really like to lose more. I have about a week’s worth of Cambridge products left, I should get back to it.

Kbear90 · 05/06/2024 18:56

Hey @PercyPea

Glad you're doing well at maintenance stage, that's such a hard thing just alone. So well done and you've achieved such incredible results.

I started on Tues 9th April (lost count of the days 😅)

SW 12st 3lb
CW 10st 5lbs
GW 10st 3lb

although my true goal weight would be 9st 3lbs (please bear in mind I'm only 5ft!) So my height isn't forgiving when it comes to holding the weight. I was wearing 16/18 clothes now down to a comfortable 14.

A loss of 1st 12lbs so far and I'm now step 2 so 3 products and a healthy meal.
I'pleased. Probably could push a bit more to reach the dream goal.

goodluck on this next part of the weighloss, you got this!
@Moonsapien motivation is so hard but well done for the half stone that's great xx

Kbear90 · 13/07/2024 21:40

Anyone on here still going on the CWP 1:1 diet
SW 12st 3 1/2 lbs
CW 9st 7 1/4 lbs
GW 10st 3lb Achieved
Lost so far 2st 9 3/4lbs

I'm so pleased with my results, currently doing another 2 week stint, sole source 1b. Keeping the water up and would like to get out of the overweight cat with my BMI. I'll only just achieve that at 9st 2lbs so here hoping! I'm day 4 of 14 atm. 🤞
This plan isn't my long term fix but it's helped drastically. Especially mentally.
