Salma Hayek BFing infant boy in Africa

For those of you who are interested Dlisted (very snarky blog) has posted a video of Salma Hayek on a Unicef visit in Sierra Leone.
They're discussing the issues of infant mortality and how BFing plays such an important role in helping eradicate it.
Salma herself (still nursing her one year old daughter) decides to nurse a sick week old infant.
I just saw the clip and it's incredibly sweet and emotional- not to mention informative.

The snarky blog is a bit but the video is interesting and is amazing to see a celebrity cross feed. Really great.

The poor mother looked so lost and bewildered. The thought that those babies could be saved so easily makes me sick.

What a lovely video, it restores faith in human nature.

Is it newborn tetanus these babies are getting? When do they vaccinate? At birth?

yes it is rather a wake up call. That poor child.

ruty, I didn't feel it wasn't glossed over. Sadly when you hear the awful statistics it's evident that they see many newborn deaths in the clinic.

Haven't watched the video but that's so sad, I don't think I could have done that knowing that I would have to hand the baby back to whatever was going to happen.

can't watch sad things, too hormonal I did forward to the bit where she fed the baby, I love Salma Hayek, what a woman!

The first part of the video was so sad.

Can't believe the headline is about cross feeding rather than tetanus when you see the content.

Gosh that actually bought tears to my eyes. I'd like to see Angelina doing that .
