  1. Before a feed, they ask you considerately if you have a tissue in your pocket to wipe their runny nose

Ha! I wish!

Lucky you, not to have bogie-encrusted boobs

theSuburbanDryad · 07/06/2008 20:44

Aww...

So cute!

finallydoneit · 07/06/2008 20:47

he tells me to read a book whilst feeding!!

callmeovercautious · 07/06/2008 20:50

It has seen us through Chicken Pox this week. Without it I may have gone mad and DD would be scarred for life. She itches - I offer her Milk

Wallace · 07/06/2008 20:51

Yes, I really do appreciate it

does anyone have any others?

Oh and being told "other side" in a very demanding voice and a stern look

Wallace · 07/06/2008 20:52

crossposted. good one

Wallace · 07/06/2008 20:52

Another reason: You get to breastfeed many weird and wonderful objects. Such as Thomas the Tank engine, Po from the teletubbies and a toy snake!

Aw stop it, I'm feeling sad now.

DS (22m) weaned himself a couple of months ago

puffylovett · 07/06/2008 20:56

Sits up after feed, announces 'There'! then signs for more and yanks at top, exposing most of breast.

All in a public place of course !!

PinkTulips · 07/06/2008 20:56

lol CMOC, ds has taken to doing that the last few weeks.

he also says 'enough now mama, i finished', shares with his pooh bear and has even paused during his morning feed and told me 'mama milk yummy'

slightly concerned about the fact that he not only doesn't seem put off by the fact that i'm preg, he seems even keener than before not sure i could cope with tandam feeding!

wallace, did you have to train him to do that? because i get lunged at snot and all tbh

whomovedmychocolate · 07/06/2008 20:58

DD points at DHs nips in bed and says 'Daddy got boobies, but mummy boobies milky lovely'

youngbutnotdumb · 07/06/2008 20:58

My friends DD is now 20m and she also has a 3m old. Both r breastfed.

The other day I was in her house and she was BF youngest DD and older one prances over and shouts 'mummy booby for Carla'

BabiesEverywhere · 07/06/2008 21:01

My 21 month old DD has started bringing me two jigsaw pieces and putting them on the side table next to the sofa and then pushing me to get off my birth ball, so I'll sit on the sofa to nurse her.

She then wants me to hand her the jigsaw pieces to play with while she nurses...so sweet

youngbutnotdumb · 07/06/2008 21:05

Wish I had BF now!

whomovedmychocolate · 07/06/2008 21:09

PinkTulips - DD is also now mad for milk since I reached the third trimester

Wallace · 07/06/2008 21:12

you're pg PinkTulips? Congratulations! I didn' train him but it might have had something to do with my recoiling with horror saying "I'll just grab a tissue for your nose before you have a sookie" (that's what we call bf )

These stories are so sweet

Ds1 thinks breasts are called "milks", hence the phrase, "I like your milks mummy". Ahem.

BabiesEverywhere · 07/06/2008 21:15

"DD is also now mad for milk since I reached the third trimester"

Same here, though TBH she only reduced herself to 3 feeds for a few weeks before going back up to whenever she feels like it

whomovedmychocolate · 07/06/2008 21:16

Apparently colostrum tastes very similar to clotted cream vanilla ice cream - so that might explain it!

fishie · 07/06/2008 21:16

"i think that is empty now. other one. oh. they are all empty. chocolate?"

aGalChangedHerName · 07/06/2008 21:17

When my 22 month old dd spots my bra she shouts out "milk milk mummy" and is often found with her hand down my top footering about with my nipple, usually in front of the bloody postman or ds1's gf's dad

But i love it!!!

FairyMum · 07/06/2008 21:25

Having two names. Mummy and Milky.

callmeovercautious · 07/06/2008 21:37

youngbutnotdumb - there is always a next time I bet your LO does feeding toys with their bottle and is just as cute. I picked up a Baby Annabel in the Charity Shop, no clothes or anything so every few weeks we go and get her something, finally the thing is dressed so I thought I would get it a bottle, DD didn't know what to do with it!

Same thing other way around I suppose
