I don't know if its because people aren't doing it or because they are being very discreet, but I have never ever seen a woman bf in public! I think that is very strange.

Quite apart from the appalling views of some of the callers, I was really annoyed by a comment made by a Dr Sarah Jarvis who was a guest in the studio (I was at work and only listening with half an ear, so don't know exactly what her status is). She basically stated that bfing up to a year is great, but that if mothers bf beyond a year "I wonder who they are doing it for". I was under the impression that I'm doing it because the WHO recommends it and it's good for my baby's health, but obviously I'm deluding myself and am really doing it to meet my own perverted needs ....

abracadabra, I was really really angry about that comment too, showed such ignorance and stupidity.
I actually sent an e/mail about that, but it didn't get read out.
